The Yellowhammer document states that 85pc of lorries travelling through the main Channel crossings “may not be ready” for French customs on Day One. Really? Jean-Marc Puissesseau, the Calais chief, told me that 30pc of the lorries leaving Dover travel empty. “They will go straight to the green line and won’t need any clearance. Another 60pc do not have material that needs to be checked,” he said.
Or even Ambrose Pritchard.
Thanks corrected smile

Extension coming?

How’s Boris going to spin not leaving on the 31st of October?

So, more delays and small amendments to May’s deal, passed by parliament because they’ve seen what no brexit looks like. Boris heroically announces he’s united the country and delivered brexit, people aren’t really sure but are so fed up they don’t care anymore.

Not sure he will get away with that but I mean, who will do anything about it at the time it happened. VONC by his own party? Surely not.

According to the MSM and the Beeb this morning Macron will be urinating all over Boris's chips today, so the bad deal many fear will result in a no deal.

Perhaps Johnson saw it coming all along but went along for the ride.
Macron is Merkel's bh. The Germans are running the show here, make no mistake. BJ is Angela's messenger to the rest to tell them what the score is and they they are toeing the line.

your bbc "experts" article is arguing an entirely different thing. the government statement refers to "The change would affect the rights of EU citizens who arrive in the UK from November onwards."

i would like to think that anyone here prior to any new rules coming into force won't have any issues due to those new rules.unless they happen to be criminals.

Not quite the whole story.

The Port of Calais authority has agreed with the ferry and train companies they will not allow lorries to embark without the correct documentation. So no delays in Calais but long delays in Kent.

But the whole of the story that was repeatedly and rudely disputed by UK only lorry driving Banjo...

Where he "really couldn't see how" - even after others helped with the simple observation of our trade balance.

On your point - I'd be really happy if there was a name and shame for logistics operators causing issues.

It really isn't difficult to prepare for export. But then, our logistics firms have typically been a tad useless - the percentage able to offer AEO/TT level operations is embarrassingly low.

No its the right way around

Jean 2018. “ Oh merde no deal beaucoup de traffic 30 miles”
Business/Port of Calais - “Shut the fck up Jean you’re driving business to the other ports!”
Jean now. “Oui pas de problem. Pas de checks dans Pas de Calais well hardly at all. Bienvenue a Calais”

Where is his 10% only checked come from? Why does he think 60% not affected in no deal?

If only 2% is checked now, what scale of increase is this - just five fold (!) or is it really worse and Jean is trying to protect Calais (as is his job, like it was comical Alis).

The experts point out that there is nothing to stop a EU citizen entering the UK between 1 October 2019 and 31 December 2020 working up until December 2020.

This is another no deal mess which the government cannot resolve because it cannot pass any legislation.
