The answer doesn’t match the accusation. He’s using words to deny something we know he knew about.
When this happened 20years or so ago with people leaving the default passcode, if it was described to me I would not have regarded it as hacking. It was more akin to walking into a house where the door is open.
These days it’s called hacking. Then, it was called taking advantage of stupid asses.
No sympathy for the victim and the guy in charge is a slime ball.
That’s HRH ginge and the swamp rat Morgan by the way.
It’s obtaining information by illegal methods regardless of what ever else it’s called. When this happened 20years or so ago with people leaving the default passcode, if it was described to me I would not have regarded it as hacking. It was more akin to walking into a house where the door is open.

There was a time when locks came with a fairly small number of unique keys. That didn't mean peoples personal stuff was fair game if you had a set of those keys.
On an even more basic level if someone has access to someone's house, car, briefcase etc even then it doesn't mean you can have a rummage around in their personal stuff.
This isn't just celebs. I caught then end of a news report earlier where a woman who's child had been murdered was also been targeted.
Piers Morgan and his peers are scum.

It's nothing like that at all; just because someone secures their property with a padlock they won in a christmas cracker does not magically make stealing it legal. When this happened 20years or so ago with people leaving the default passcode, if it was described to me I would not have regarded it as hacking. Morgan is a rat, and if he didn’t know it makes him just as culpable. The buck stopped with him as Editor.
Exactly, if he did not know, then he should have known. The simple question “ where do you keep getting these insightful tit-bits, that excite our readers so much?”
Kerching. You only need to read his autobiography to appreciate that he loved this stuff.
I love the fact that there is nothing that scumbag piers can do to take back that a judge has said he knew. Hence why he is lashing out with such vitriol at all the witnesses.
“In his judgment, the judge noted that Seymour said Morgan was “no fool” and “knew that his journalists were involved in phone hacking”. The judge added: “Mr Seymour struck me as a man of intelligence and integrity. I accept his evidence without hesitation.””

I watched the clip of him outside his house yesterday and he does indeed seem to be very angry and vindictive. But I guess that sums up the press v Harry thing from the start. “In his judgment, the judge noted that Seymour said Morgan was “no fool” and “knew that his journalists were involved in phone hacking”. I would merely point out as a matter of logic that the fact that there’s a charmless, entitled prick on one side of the argument does not preclude the existence of another on the other. Piers hates Harry because Meghan chose Harry after Piers bought her a couple of drinks in a London pub and thought he was in.
A glamorous Hollywood babe chose a real prince over a scummy vindictive gutter press reporter. Who'd have guessed?
Everything since has been because of this. Piers needs help.

Whilst that might be the case, she does appear to have a history of using people for a leg up, then dropping them once she'd attained the next step on the ladder.A glamorous Hollywood babe chose a real prince over a scummy vindictive gutter press reporter. Who'd have guessed?

Her invite list for the wedding included a load of A Listers who didn't even know her/them personally.
