He still gets a massive "perk" of being a Royal - the stipend from the Duchy of Cornwall..
Isn't that basically just money from his Dad? In which case it doesn't have anything to do with him being a Royal I would say - it's not public money.Sway said:

The Duchess of Sussex has admitted passing information to the authors of Finding Freedom despite previously dismissing claims that she cooperated with them as a "conspiracy theory".
In new documents lodged with the High Court, she reveals she was concerned that "her father’s narrative” - that she had abandoned him and cut off contact - might be repeated, prompting her to intervene.
The Duchess says she gave her own version of events to someone else to pass on, so “the true position… could be communicated to the authors to prevent any further misrepresentation.”

I forsee it being quietly dropped, it already has been put on hold for 9 (?) months (mmmmm 9 months wonder why!) and I believe she's lost the first round.
Quietly? The Mail will rip them to shreds if it gets dropped!BlackLabel said:

The Duchy of Cornwall is provided as a means of income to the Heir
If/when Charles accedes to the throne, the Duchy passes to William as does ALL its income
There is no provision for Harry and it will be upto William whether he wishes to bankroll his brother
There is nothing certain for Harry to continue receiving public money as a non working member of the Royal family ..

But he’s Joe ordinary is he not?
I’m pretty sure he’s no longer a Royal.
What he does from here on out is no one else’s business. The only people complaining are butt hurt because he stopped being a Royal which he has every right to do.
As an aside, anyone who jumps on the butt hurt bandwagon deserves a sound poking in the eye with a railway sleeper. Twice.I’m pretty sure he’s no longer a Royal.

On the subject of the Duchy of Cornwall this recent piece by Vice is interesting - okay the amount of money mentioned isn’t huge but surely the law concerning this should be the same as anywhere else in the country.

I agree with you, but at least he donated the proceeds to a charity for locals. In the rest of England it would just go to the Treasury.https://www.vice.com/en/article/k7aw4e/prince-char...

I expect he will be entitled to an army pension.
I understand they are very good, I wonder if he made additional contributions?
Unlikely. He only did ten years which doesn’t qualify initially and when it does it won’t be much.I understand they are very good, I wonder if he made additional contributions?

Back in the news today courting sympathy
I must say for someone apparently seeking privacy she does seem to talk to the press about very private matters quite a lot
All I'll say is, agreed 100%. My wife miscarried, at least 20% of pregnancies do that they know of and likely more. Deep into trimester 2 would be a whole different ball game and we know that's not the case.I must say for someone apparently seeking privacy she does seem to talk to the press about very private matters quite a lot
