Two of those quotes relate to gender.

One of those isn't biased against either gender, but merely refers to hers.

Why try to make the issue larger than our is by bringing in things completely irrelevant to mysogyny?
Like I suggested yesterday perhaps spend a little time asking the people posting such things why they feel the need to speak about someone they don't know like that rather than counting the insults and splitting them into categories to try to make some of it sound like it's actually not so bad.

That shouldn't be too difficult.

Should it? scratchchin
No, it's not.

However, at the moment I'm more interested in people who's opinion I do sometimes admire, and seeking to understand why it is that they're so keen on stifling the debate through lies and exaggerations...

Otherwise, I'd just be piling in with you - except that I'd not be as effective as I wouldn't be rolling up loads of irrelevant stuff into it.

For someone who doesn't really care about H&M, is entirely calm and rational, and is seeking to position as a voice of moral authority - lies and exaggerations aren't a good look.

Those with actual phobias over sex and race aren't help able. You are...

I'm not stifling any debate unless you think that the people who've said she "has no morals whatsoever worth having" and "the woman is an ugly control freak" are adding to the debate.

I've literally quoted things they've said which I don't think could be called an exaggeration.

You could ask them to explain their vile comments to try to learn something or you could pick me up for what you say is "lies and exaggeration".

Guess which one you've chosen to do?

Don't worry I'm not about to ask you why you're so keen on "stifling the debate".

The obvious e.g. misogyny on display here is not exaggerated is it?

Challenging that misogyny is not stifling debate - it is having a debate.

If some feel uncomfortable and feel less willing to express misogyny here as a result of that misogyny being pointed out, then isn’t that a good thing?

There are far too many pages here for me to have read them all, but surely Meghan should have done some research?

They (she) distanced from the Royal Family but then they (she) seems keen to slag it off for some free publicity, although we'll remember the RF much longer than we remember the Markles - although we may recall when Harry lost his balls. laugh
She clearly wanted to reach the highest echelons of society to show the world how virtuous she was. Meeting Harry was every hopeful princess's dream. Albeit 100% orchestrated. Unfortunately the world doesn't really care about random slappers. I'd always be wary of anyone who'll get naked and will fk or pretend to fk, or do a suck job for money, whilst knowingly being filmed.
Yep.
She's a failed actress, a drama queen, someone desperate for fame and fortune, has Harry on puppet strings 24/7, has no morals whatsoever worth having and would be doing all this self-pity for free, not to date around $150 MILLION, if it was really about justice of some sort. She's a fake and pathetic.
The woman is an ugly control freak and i hope after today she is completely cut off by the Royals, as she is about as much use to our Queen as diesel in a Mclaren 720S.
clap

Probably sums up the views of many Brits.

Are you trying to describe actors doing nude or sex scenes or do you think she’s a porn star?

You split individual quotes into multiple, exaggerating the number of quotes. Then you associated them all with attitudes to women, exaggerating the number that of quotes that actually had anything to do with women.

You've referred anyone who's criticised them as being motivated by racism or mysogyny (the mysogyny bit is sometimes confused, when you acknowledge that Kate doesn't get the same treatment).

Then, when quoting a poster, you've claimed sexism - when the vast majority of your quotes not only had bugger all to do with gender, but of the two that did one wasn't critical on gender at all.

So you are, indeed, lying and exaggerating in order to reinforce your claims of rampant racism and sexism - which stifles the debate. Especially when broadly legitimate criticisms (or at least, ones rooted in actions not person) have been rolled up by you as purely being mysogynistic.

Are the “highest echelons in society” being part of the Royal Family OR being 6,000 miles away in the USA?

As I said earlier H&M didn’t like the way they were treated in the UK, and said “Right, fk the lot of you pathetic whinging miserable bds, we’re off!” And given some of the comments on here it’s not a surprise why they felt like that.

I remember when Diana died and it was the same parasitic voyeuristic partnership between the Daily strags and some elements of the Public back then. Plus ca change......

You were saying something about lies and exaggeration weren't you?

Like I said you could ask the people making the vile comments what motivates them or you can focus on what percentage of posts fall into which category whilst giving them a free pass.

Seem the latter matters more than the former.

Dude, yesterday after a tortuous set of responses - you couldn't quite come to say that you were outright calling me racist...

It was that I'd been duped by the Mail. That really pissed me off - especially with the irony that you were saying that whilst also stating you hadn't seen any of the direct output from H&M and therefore there could indeed be legitimate causes for criticism!

Is there anyone on this thread who's been critical of H&M that isn't racist or mysogynist in your view (or sorry, duped by the Mail)? Yesterday, it wasn't just this thread but a "large section of PH" as a whole...

Why is it that you just cannot write "yes, I quoted things nothing to do with gender and called them sexist"?

Probably because I wasn't calling you racist.

I shouldn't have used the words "large section of PH" fair cop though oddly Vasco reckons many brits agree with one of the posts on the last page.

But to pick me up on that whilst not even a whimper at some of the stuff on display the last couple of pages that's no doubt formed from an in depth knowledge of Meghan Markle and in no way misogynistic or driven by rags like the Mail or any of the things I've mentioned?

Looking forward to your comments on a "sex tape" - I know you don't read the media so was that on their Instagram too?

Dude hehe

Most people would have forgotten about them if they has just said 'We're off'.
But they didn't, they had a big rant about press intrusion into their lives and the less than favourable coverage they received, then moved from the relative backwater that was Canada to the place that has arguably the most press intrusion on the planet and while there have engineered it so that they are in the press as much, if not more than before they left!

If they chose to do so, they could quite happily lead a low profile life, even in L.A.

People who are fanatics (whether that be Meghan, Brexit or indeed militant vegans or carnivores) can't be reasoned with - they simply get ignored.

Those who aren't fanatics have some hope - hence I'll engage with them.

I've never claimed to be an expert in Meghan (or Harry) - but they do put out a hell of a lot of content to critique.

Sex tape was on pronhub. Not my most difficult wk.

Well skewered.

I’m not sure there would be all this noise about TV sex scenes if Harry had married e.g Kate Winslet, do you?

Complaining about stifling debate comes across more as “lets us carry on being misogynistic in this corner of the internet without anyone making us feel guilty about it by pointing it out”.

No, I'm saying that it's hardly unheard of for someone who wishes to increase their profile to permit a sex tape to come out. Kim K seems to be the role model.
