It is Mental Health Awareness Week this week.

Whatever your views on the timing it needs high profile people who've experienced mental health issues to speak up to reduce the taboo.
"Genetic pain"?

Really?

There's likely plenty of things he could have talked about - the grief from his mother's death, experiences in Afghan, etc.

You really think attempting to justify why he left based on "genetic pain" is appropriate (or indeed even a thing)?

He is certainly distancing himself from his family.

Christ knows what will happen when/if it all goes tits up with Meghan and he has to go crawling back.

I don't think it's great timing and the language sounds like something off a therapists couch which it probably is.

But be honest if he did it in a month or two months or three months or three years you'd still be on here calling him a .

Because Queen because Meghan or whatever.

You're absolutely right - it doesn't matter when he said it, the stuff he's talking about is utterly derisory.

Especially when, by taking his comments at face value, he's stating that William is therefore passing down said 'trauma' to his children in this 'cycle of genetic pain'.

What utter bks.

Yeah, if he actually disavowed the Monarchy and coupled this viewpoint with its existence being ridiculous and unfair, I'd have some sympathy.

But he's not, they're moaning about being cut-off financially, their kid not being a Prince and not being allowed to do Royal duties on their terms. Zero sympathy.

What a tt, he really is completely clueless. From what I've just read, the First Ammendment looks quite sensible.

"How to win friends and influence people", a new book, by Harry and UvdL.

To be fair, he probably meant the Second Amendment, not the first, but he is a bit dim, bless. If he actually meant the first he is more than a bit dim.

Quote from the Spectator that seems to sum things up nicely:

'Harry and Meghan are profoundly annoying. They are virtue-signalling made flesh. They are poster children for a strange new kind of "activism" that manages to be cringey, preachy, narcissistic, faintly ridiculous and incredibly remunerative at the same time.'

Generic pain is merely due to your age chap. I'm told by other oldies that an aspirin a day can help... wink
