Perhaps he did kill himself, but a lot of powerful people were getting accused (rightly or wrongly, innocent till proven of course). Including the establishment.

Proof if ever was needed that there are some people that are above us on every conceivable level including the laws of the land, any moral or ethical code or basic human decency. Those things just don't concern them, like taxes those things are for the little people.
