And if remain had won there wouldn’t have been a single leaver bleating when we went full Schengen and ditched the pound for the euro.
Am I correct ?
There would have been a legal position where UK opt outs were enshrined unless a referendum was voted through allowing a change, if you believed Cameron and Junker. Not worth the paper it was printed on, but that was what was on offer if we voted to remain.Am I correct ?

"You know that people like Mike earlier you know that some people you know changed their minds since 2016 you know and im representing those you know and democracy you know didn’t end in 2016 and"
I don't think she is thick, unintelligent or unpleasant - just out of her depth

Be a hoot if Chuka scrapes home and actually becomes leader would that be the definition of ironic
Watching Sam Gyimah going on about Liberal Democrat values was quite a hoot too
The way the Lib Dems are going be ironic if they lost MP's and ended up with more defectors as MP's than original Lib Dem Mp's

I am hoping for a chukka portillo moment.Watching Sam Gyimah going on about Liberal Democrat values was quite a hoot too

Unlike portillo, who has come out of it as decent bloke, chukka will continue down the slimy path of insincerity.
Finally received a Lib Dum letter in the post. It's pretty aggressive, telling me my MP "is invisible to most people in the constituency"
Funny, as i have contacted him a couple of times and always received a response, including a follow up letter from the Government Minister concerned.

I see Swinson is on CBBC Question Time tonight, no idea why since everyone else that's turned up for it is a total nobody, her very participation on the show should knock a few more points off the fibdems anyway.

Crap choice in this election. I have to vote for the person and policies I loathe the least. A liar, a deluded communist fool or a lady without a hope.
Great......
Yup same here.Great......
My seat is a very safe conservative one so labour aren’t getting in. I’ll probably vote libdem. If I thought labour had a chance though I’d go with the conservatives.
It’s by far the worst choice I’ve ever seen, I’ll still vote though.
I don’t like the direction the conservatives have gone in under Boris and Cummings but labour under Corbyn and McDonnell to me look much much worse than all the other options.

Is the tory the candidate you like best?
No she’s been parachuted in to replace the previous Tory that Boris kicked out. He’s now gone somewhere else. All the candidates are new as it’s such a safe seat. I quite liked my old conservative MP but Boris got rid of him when he was culling the centrist remainers that voted against him.

I think the Lib Dems will end up with
An overall gain or loss of 2 MP's
They will spin it as a resounding victory whatever the result. Then they will pin the blame on it being Jo Swinson's Lib Dems.
She will be pressured to go and Ed Davey will end up full time leader.
Her departure won't be immediate but will be by the end of January.

They have one main headline grabbing policy which has got the attention, it's good that there is a umabiguously remain party option to vote for. Their other policies all seem to be sensible and moderate, they are not particularly eye catching but they are not making the same kind of money spending pledges as other parties, which is a big plus as far as I'm concerned.
I've voted Conservative in the past due me perceiving them to be the most sensible economically, and generally social liberal. These days it seems to me that it's the Lib Dem's that fit this description better than the other parties, especially since I personally don't see the economic merits of leaving the EU outweighing the positives of remaining.
I don't see Swinson as PM material but there is no chance of her leading a majority government anyway.
That’s pretty much my take on it. I have voted Tory for 36 years and this is the first time that I don’t think they are the most economically sensible and I blame them and Brexit nonsense for the economic decline that we are seeing. The current Tory MPs are thinking of their own prejudices rather than what’s best for the economy. Judging by the amount of time and attention given to the subject by the repressed LD-curious men on here, the message is getting through.
The Lib Dems were, until relatively recently, contenders. They've made it all about Jo Swinson.
They've caused anger with their revoke policy.
Some see that as a disrespect for democracy.
She's diluted the Lib Dem message by taking on Tory turncoats and pushing them to the front of the photographs.
Swinson constantly attacks the character, integrity and capability of Corbyn and BoJo instead of general policy. She then forgets that she needs to be whiter than white when it comes to her own qualities and track record because if she makes it personal then others will shine the spotlight on her personal failings, to the detriment of her party just the same.
Her party spam-bombards our letterboxes with spurious and dishonest leaflets.
This will destroy the Lib Dems. The irony is that she's saying we're tired of the two-party race. Well what she's doing will reinforce the two-party situation.
So yes, I'm interested because she's made what could have been a viable and reasonable alternative party into a shallow, meaningless joke.
