Police Officer killed on duty

I would have thought your average travellers site would have provided a lifetimes work for a forensics team.
It would be a good result if off the back of the murder investigation they find enough over incriminating evidence in these camps to justify a proper crack down on them - 6 am raids, confiscate vehicles that are not correctly insured seize stolen goods. But let’s focus on the number one thing here get the murder conviction sorted first. eccles said:

They've now left the traveller site (although I agree with your sentiments). I was talking about the 2 roads either side of the A4 where the murder occurred. They are certainly still closed and policed.

I spotted that on Sunday, although I think only the one side of the road is still physically blocked with a police guard. I assume they are keeping the place off limits for as many as possible as long as possible so they can forensically cross-check and verify the differing accounts of what happened as they interview the various prisoners.
I assume you mean Island Farm Road (yes, I'm local enough to know the name of the road without looking it up!). I turned down that road once a few years back, and some of the fine travellers were coming the other way, almost reaching the junction. They stopped and flashed me to come towards them and pass them. As a local I was well aware of the deep ditch at the side where they were trying to get me to pass them. Sat there for a few minutes at the wide point, they kept flashing me to progress and pass them at the narrow point. Eventually turned and went another way. Nasty people.

I thought there was only one person on remand and the rest released on bail?Vaud said:

I thought there was only one person on remand and the rest released on bail? One of the things the police can/may be doing is forensic electronic checks on phones. It's possible that one of the things they may be searching for are devices to add into this check.
They can overlay data - the GPS and cell feeds from 'phones, and similar data generated by the systems in modern vehicles - to put a device in a certain vehicle/location.
A friends partner had her two week old Ausi RS4 pinched a year or two back and the police convicted the scrote on the strength of this sort of evidence. Basically, in simple terms, if the phone data matches GPS etc. from the car, you were in it.
I imagine that the investigation - whether or not the accused is guilty or a patsy - can link people to the offence and hence as accessories.

My sister got elbowed in the face by someone she was chasing. The guy changed his plea at the last minute to guilty and has been sentenced to 6 months inside.
I can only assume this case being in the news recently has helped stay off the lenient punishments.
I spend a lot of time in Texas - tbh I think it’s quite a fked up place - I do however respect how they deal with sentencing for anyone who attacks a police officer (if they don’t get shot first). I can only assume this case being in the news recently has helped stay off the lenient punishments.
3 males re-arrested and one male arrested for the first time
