I’m just saying people I know aren’t obviously bothered.

If some poll company phoned me up about who I’d vote for or what I thought about brexit, I’d answer, it doesn’t mean I’m that bothered about it though.

It certainly doesn’t mean there’s “deep divisions”. Brexit hasn’t happened yet and nothing much has happened. If there were deep divisions I’d expect much more of an outcry about it.

If the government weasels out of brexit with a May type deal. I expect most people would just be glad it’s over.
this^. it's an issue that had a huge amount of air time and discussion in many forums. most people with even a passing interest have a position on it by now, but aren't interested in discussing it anymore and certainly not arguing about it.
outside of a few small vocal groups that can make an amount of noise vastly disproportionate to their number thanks to social media, i can't see much that "divides" the nation on any subject.

YouGov poll result from data collected 13-14 August 2019

Voting Intention: Con 30%, Lab 21%, Lib Dem 20%, Brex 14%

Also and inevitably tangled up in the above:

48% to 35% Britons would rather have No Deal and no Corbyn

It's all going down over there -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> HoC

It looks as though Labour will do everything possible to stop a GE and may be able to do so with the help of others so the thread is a bit moot at the mo.

I've never previously voted Tory, but I would if an election was called tomorrow. Not because I've suddenly found any sort of love for them, because I couldn't imagine much worse than Corbyn in power. I think Boris would flatten Corbyn in an election, all said.

I sincerely hope that the negative consequences are directed towards the demographics who wanted it. If tax receipts fall, pensions and regional spending should take the brunt.
...............and what if Britain did actually thrive after Brexit, and the EU sunk into recession, should only the demographic that voted for it benefit, or would "your demographic" want a piece of it ??

An odd question, and no.
