Ipsos MORI for the Evening Standard, poll to 04 December, sample 1,545

44% Conservatives
32% Labour
13% LibDems
05% SNP
03% Greens
02% TBP
Johnson on the ropes.
An obvious takeaway, just what I was thinking.

Let's just make Andrew Neil supreme ruler, problem solved.

Desperate stuff, Johnson has gained 3pts since last week.

Your man Corbyn is failing and can't/won't recover, give it up, it's futile

I would have loved to see Brillo tearing lumps out of the inept Johnson. The only thing that will keep him in power is Corbyn. And that is no way to choose a leader.
Easy to say but answer this

WHO would you choose as a leader for the Uk ? (forget about the party for this exercise)
Yvette Cooper
Rory Stewart
Chuka
Ed Miliband
The other Miliband brother
Vince Cable

Any of the above would be better than the three "leaders" we are being offered a choice of.
Right, got-ya smile

(can anybody help, is H123 a troll account ?)

Good to see you're in denial. The polls continue narrow.

A far better list than that shower would be:

Alice Cooper
Rod Stewart
Chuck Berry
Ed Sheeran
David Guetta
Vince Hill

Andrew Neil would be lovin' it.

That would be interesting. Neil interviews Neil. Loser gets the alligator pit.

Channel 4 and their bias smear campaign continues but at least this time they have apologised.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2019/12/06/ch...

The usual suspects like Nicola Sturgeon jumped on it and then deleted the tweet. But Chuka Umunna states "watch it and make your own mind up"

It's clear what he states.

Chuka, Soubry, Sturgeon, Lammy, Blackford. Who in their right minds votes for these people.

If constituency level polling is right, Chuka is about to get chucked.

Have to admit I'm starting to have second thoughts about voting Conservative.

How on earth anyone can think Boris and Cummings have done a good job with this campaign baffles me.

'Get Brexit Done' is as bad as 'Strong and Stable' IMHO and I'm sick to bloody death of hearing it. I really thought Boris and Cummings would have come out fighting but it has been dire.

Obviously I'll not be voting Labour, and not sure I can vote Lib Dem either.

A real quandry.

I didn't catch the Marr interview but noted all the criticism and complaints so decided not to bother. But is that what if really sounded like? If so that video is a superb statement. Bravo.

Comment from ex-Labour over at Lord Ashcroft Polls.

“We’ve all voted Labour before, but can you imagine him (Corbyn) and Diane Abbott running the country?”

They won't be alone in not voting Labour this time.

I’m really no closer to deciding who I will vote for, I am leaning towards voting tactically to keep out an independent who is doing quite well in my area, he’s trotting out a good line of local man for local people populist stuff but if you dig deeper he’s just a hardline no deal brexiteer with little substance, but voting tactical would mean Labour in my area.

How do you read the submissions to the EHRC on anti-semitism and say that with a straight face? confused

I'd never have thought anything like that was possible in a modern mainstream political party.

Can’t see what the problem is for anybody to find a political home, huge chasm between the individual Party manifesto’s. The only exception being the brexit question.

His objective, as leader of the Conservative party, is to win the election, not tick every TV and radio interview box. It's pretty simple. If the calculated decision is that more harm than good might potentially come from any interview, why do it? For whose benefit?

Picking one's battles is key.
So every time that a tricky situation arises our PM is going to run away and hide ?

How statesman like.
Only from troublesome journalists.

Negotiating with the likes of the EU, Xi, Putin and Trump will be a walk in the park compared to 30 minutes with Andrew Neil.

Brave Boris.
As I said, it comes down to fighting the battles you have to. He's not compelled to talk to some bloke on the telly, as much as you or anyone else might want him to.

Also, for most, the issue is much less about Boris himself than getting a government that a.) has a majority and b.) has no Marxists in it. most people would agree the choices are not ideal. None of them.

Exactly. Beats me why anyone bases their vote on last minute campaigning.
