Didn't realise that's how we treat journalists asking politically inconvenient questions of a Prime Minister whose only answer to a photo of a sick kid seems to be "get Brexit done".

It's staggering that anyone would watch that interview and even attempt to defend it.

Staggering but entirely unsurprising.
You seem obsessed by a storm in a teacup. Revisit it next week when you aren’t in election mode and you’ll see what a non story it turned out to be. ‘Staggering’ hehe
^^ This ^^

Details from the BBC News site with a T6 slant/comment

Jack was taken into Leeds General Infirmary last week after being ill for six days, .
His mother said he had been seen as soon as he arrived and given a bed and oxygen,

T6-So Jack has been poorly for a few days and not improving ...parents take child to A&E rather than their GP (understandable as many of us use A&E as urgent care - Jack was seen promptly and given appropriate care

but a few hours later the bed had to be given to another patient and Jack was left without one for more than four hours.

T6 - So Jack has recovered (or) not shown A&E urgency but is exhibiting symptoms of (maybe severe) flu, Jack may have been awake / alert and maybe preferred to be with parents rather than "staying in hospital" ( I know my children were scared of being left in hospital)

His mother said she then made a makeshift bed for her son with coats and took the picture.

T6 - Child who's been poorly and maybe lacked sleep for 6 day has to await results of some tests and due to the previous care / medication provided becomes tired - (similar to my children) Jack curls up by parents feet and falls asleep … Parents make sleepy child comfortable

Boris Johnson was on the campaign trail when he was shown the picture of Jack
ITV reporter Joe Pike was given an interview with Mr Johnson when he visited Grimsby on the campaign trail.
He asked the PM to look at the photo of Jack on his phone several times.
Mr Johnson said he had not seen the picture yet but refused to look at it, he took Mr Pike's phone and put it in his pocket, saying: I'll give you an interview now."

T6 - Boris is a busy man just prepped for an interview and just before is ambushed by a question from the interviewer before the interview and takes the position that he'll do the interview before reviewing the ambush interview question and takes phone to review (and maybe answer) after interview

Mr Pike said: "You refuse to look at the photo. You've taken my phone and put it in your pocket, prime minister.
Mr Johnson then removed the phone from his pocket and looked at the screen.

T6 - following persistent questions on the subject Boris addresses question by reviewing the photo

"It's a terrible, terrible photo, and I apologise,

T6 Boris trot's out the party line on the NHS,

The PM then apologised to Mr Pike for taking his phone and returned it.

Of course my judgement of the situation may be completely bks but a "hold the front page" Boris is selling the NHS attach item … nah

The only reason he even countenances FOM is to destabilise and destroy the UK.
He despises the British and the middle class, middle England.
Blair did a decent start on this and Corbyn would be that on steroids.

And then he’d pull the plug and people like you would say ‘we must stop the talent leaving’ years after they all left.

The only military body that would get funding from the UK apart from Russia would be the border force, who would shoot to kill everyone trying to leave, as has been the case in every other communist regime ever.
You do know I’m not a Corbyn supporter either?

Why not take your tin foil hat off and have a critical look at Boris?

Bit too late for that once youve photographed your child and sent the piccies to the Mirror.

The facts of the case will come out one way or another but the political damage is done at whatever level

Traingate comes to mind for some reason though. Did the poor child sleep on coats for 4 days? That wouldn’t have been necessary surely.
And an hour after I wrote this, guess what, the whole thing turns out to be another massive load of Labour bks.

My 'tin foil hat' is a degree in politics you silly little man.
Glad you're not a Corbyn supporter, I mean who would admit to that, but that doesn't excuse the rest of your persona I'm afraid

No need for personal abuse though, it’s just an Internet forum for car enthusiasts after all.

Why not take a break, go and have a cup of tea?

I don't think 'silly little man' is really that abusive, chumbo.

On your second point, this is the posting history of a 'car enthusiast' (yours for clarity)

I wonder what Corbyn's stance on that is.

Have Kuenessberg, Peston et al been sent this? It would be interesting to see if it gets reported. My bet is that it won't.

Numerous quotes on Twitter from ACTUAL Nurses saying they wouldn't EVER put a child on the floor and then chuck a gas mask down on the floor next to him.

It's a stitch up, just like Corby and his stupid Train stunt.

Labour really are desperate at the moment. Yet they forget that it wont make a cent of difference.

Those who vote Tory will do so anyway (whilst using critical reasoning to wonder what the full circumstance are.

And the terminally thick/jew haters/neverworkedbenefitrecipientswith7fkingkids will vote for Corby because apparently he's going to give them everything they ever wanted for free and save the NHS since it only has "DAYS LEFT"

Thankfully the UK has more in the first category than the second.

Boris isn't perfect, but compared the competition this time round he's a fking God!

Genuinely, I hope Labour kick Corby and Co out. Find a sensible moderate Centre Left type who can ACTUALLY get floating voters on board. A bit of competition from the opposition benches may well make the Conservatives become a bit more centre Right. TO try and get those same floating voters to their side. It wouldn't half remove the toxicity from Politics currently in the air.

Boris isn't a long term PM. Once Brexits done and a FTA with the EU sorted, and depending on how things are going in 5yrs time. He may well think "that's enough, I'm retiring to the after dinner speaking circuit"
If this is true then it says a lot about the child mother.

Unbelievable.

Nope, not a mention of it on the ITV news.

Peston allowed both Corbyn and Swinson to continue the lie whilst perpetuating the lie himself.

Surely there must be CCTV footage? If the parents were found to have done this I’d like to see action taken against them as it’s a slur on the great NHS staff

That's as maybe, but it was the Tories who have presided over a near doubling of the national debt.

You keep banging on - the fact of the matter is if we had just had 10 years of Labour the UK would have ceased to exist. So don’t peddle the old Tories Are Bad rubbish, think of how much worse it would be under the incompetent communist idiots who claim to be Labour.

‘Power to the People’ doesn’t work as in the end there are just people, and no businesses. How your average unskilled assembly plant labourer can’t see this is the problem - so Labour just capitalise on old resentments and try to appeal to the unwashed. Then one day it’ll sink in that where they get their wages from had to close due to high Corp Tax and a 4 day week.

If you are worried about the UK “ceasing to exist” how can you contemplate a vote for Boris? His Brexit plan will put a border down the Irish Sea and heightens the risk of Scottish independence.

I’m no Corbyn supporter but we need to build a fairer society for all. One that works for everyone.
