I don't think that'll happen. Though I went to bed fully expecting Clinton to become us prez and she didn't.

Ahhh, my birthplace and home for the majority of my life, no surprise there, a turnip would win for Labour there.
so your saying i have a chance?!
Can you embezzle party funds “allegedly” and employ your spouse as a researcher after they have been suspended from their caring job on suspected elder abuse charges “allegedly”. If you answered no to both of those questions, congratulations you have more integrity than the current South Shields MP, “allegedly”.

That's a major swing - but then I remember a couple of days ago an article suggested that the constituencies Labour needed to hold or win mostly voted in favour of Brexit, which was never going to end well for them!

Laura Kuenssberg

Worth noting - Across seats we have seen so far, Tories have been up 3%, exit poll predicted 6% - so underperforming a bit on the poll - have said it before, will say it again, it is early
We have had about 10 seats declared. Bit early to make those statements.
Yes early doors. Labour down 12% but Brexit hovering up many (up 7%). I’m going to sit watching this for a few hours as I’m still not convinced a 3% up tick is going to win this for the Tories. They’ll pick up 6% in the non contested constituencies but if the BXP carry on driving up at 6-7% then this evening isn’t over.
Curtice picked up on this just now, however he did say that the Tory majority might not be as high as the earlier predictions but it would still be significant.

Tend to agree.

This feels much like the evening of the EU referendum to me...went to bed fully expecting a Remain win. Woke up with a Leave one...

I'm starting to wonder if the Exit Polls have it wrong and we'll get a Labour led amalgam of some sort. Hopefully not.
No chance IMHO, they’re toast

I hope so: I’m just concerned about the BXP numbers. Surprisingly high where they are contesting: 6-9%

I voted Labour (for local reasons more than anything) but a walloping might be the best thing for them in the end as they will have to get their house in order, although I’m not comfortable with any party having such a big majority

Labour collapsed in Rutherglen and Hamilton. Be interesting to see how large a majority.
