more interesting than yourself
Probably the most sensible thing you've said in your short time here.

Cowards. Standing for election on the back of a manifesto, then within a few short months abandoning the party. The constituents deserve better. By-elections now. Stealing a living. Disgraceful. Let’s see how they get on when a new Brexit Party candidate stands against them.

That’s how it works isn’t it?
Are they becoming independents or just resigning altogether and giving up their salary and the ipads they couldn’t relate to needing to actually do some work?

Are they all toast on 31 Jan or do they linger around like the rotten eggs they are until at least Dec 2020?

Anyone voting for or supporting these idiots has been totally fooled. Some of the callers on Eddie earlier - absolute Nige fawning/worshipping morons.

I'm going to guess "It's a conspiracy".
There is a clip on Neils twitter feed (a retweet of someone tweeting his interview??). Our Nige is not a happy bunny, blames the Cons (paraphrasing but nearly word for word) due to some MEP's knowing Torys, one is the sister of one minister, one has a boyfriend working for that minister (JRM) and another is a close friend of BoJo.

More in there as well. 2 minute clip and confirms part of what I think of the bloke.
A very grumpy Farage was on R4 tonight - calling the three MEPs Tory stooges and highlighting that one was related to a cabinet minister, another's partner worked for that minister, etc.
Surely he'd have noticed at least one of those links when selecting the candidates?
Or is Rees-Mogg a more common name than I thought?

Have a word with RRhodes, he's put himself forward as to what is common place or not, seemingly.

These defectors are really making St Nige look like the total chump that he is.

It really is quite delicious.

Think the radio was a clip from the interview now.

St Nige is on now. All hail Nige.

You think he’d have spotted various links of his favourite candidates - but look how many virulent racists got through the net.

Almost like he wasn’t that bothered.

Pecunia non olet.

Money does not smell.

So said the Emperor Vespasian when his son Titus complained about a tax on urinals. Vespasian was, of course, wrong.

You've not had many conversations with Irishmen have you Cecil.
Tbh, I'm amazed BV did not recognise the context it was used in, if in fact he didn't.
Scousers use it a lot too, though perhaps it may have been far more common in past years.
You used the wrong word. Now you are claiming that you were doing comedy Oirish. I call BS. Why die in a ditch over every little thing? We all make mistakes.

Back on topic: well done Andrew Neil, you can paint another small swastika on your Spitfire; and well done also for the post interview take-down of Johnson At last, the sometimes supine BBC has stood up.

A Neil - "Is it ok to describe islam as a child rapist death cult?"

Nigel "I don't remember saying that...." [worried face]

A Neil - "I didn't mean you I meant one of your candidates"

Nigel [thank fck I've not been caught on tape saying that face]

Says it all.

And a magic comedy moment.

Nigel says he wants to let the people have a referendum if 5m vote for it.

A Neil - "revoke Art 50 got 6m votes".

What a total C E L T this man is.

Do some people have nothing better in their lives than try to find racism in anything?
So glad I don't live such a sad existence.

BV, or should that be BS, where have I claimed I was doing "comedy Oirish"?
The phrase is well known, and I used it in the context it is commonly used in.
Hence my answer to Nick that I was perfectly happy about my use of it.
No dying in a ditch here mate, field's too wet for that, are you still not bowing to the Royall Coat of Arms btw? Dying in a ditch my arse. smile

As for the AN interviews, I thought NF handled it well and probably better than any of the others,
with the caveat that I haven't watched the Jo Swindon one yet. biggrin

I'm not sure why people conflate trying to find something with simply pointing it out when it's there.

You don't need to "try to find" it where some of Farage's candidates are concerned just look at the evidence in front of you.

You could see the cogs moving when those questions came up. It was like asking someone the morning after a right drinking binge what they though they were doing. He doesn't know what is going on or plays ignorance? I fancy both.

Bit of Cholmondley Warner creeping around the edges as well, he managed to nail it back in the box though I thought but enough peeked out.
