As a Brexiteer, I really dislike the idea of celebrating. It just feels like rubbing our opponents noses in it.

Be happy we've won by all means, but don't gloat. It's not a good look.
It’s the standard MO for a certain pro-Brexit demographic though. One only has to review this thread to see the type Nige is appealing to, they aren’t hard to spot.

One thing he can’t be accused of is not knowing his base audience wink

I don’t think anyone started out as gloating. We had a referendum - we had a result.
That should have been the end of it.

The more Brexitly challenged members of society who tried to ignore the referendum result and try every trick in the book to revoke it was just seen as bad form and got Leavers hackles up.

But given what the prospective Labour candidates are spouting - they re looking to take us back in.

Given that he heavily criticised the deal Boris has agreed as not leaving the EU, what exactly is he celebrating?

Sir Nugget is not very happy that he is not qualified to apply for the British ambassador to the united states position

Poor old faarango.

I’m sure all he really wants is to be part of the recognised Establishment, regardless of his inane ranting and spurious claims of how anti establishment he actually claims to be.

I see that St Nige of faarange is set to receive an astonishing £150000.00 when he leaves the EP. Those that were duped into funding him or standing with him will get nothing!

I'm sure faarange will see his gullible colleagues right...... He will won't he?

There is not an irony meter built that can deal with this post. Remainer complains that their beloved EU is giving the chief Brexiteer a stupid amount of money when we leave...

I'm sure the faaragne isn't obligated to greedily pocket money from the organisation he claims to loathe. When he does pocket the tax payers cash he could always refund those that generously funded him, especially those that were unable to vote for him!

And in other news, Brexit has now nearly cost us more than our entire EU contributions!

Leavers will no doubt feel he's worth every penny.

Weren't you one of those saying the cost of EU bureaucrats was a drop in the ocean compared to the benefits we get from the EU?

If so, why do you care??

If it's bugging you because of Nigel's smiley face, think of all the other dipsts you're paying for. We'll make a leave advocate out of you yet biggrin

Love him or loathe him, his approach/perseverance secured a referendum on something that should have been subject to one in the first place.

I wouldn't have lost sleep (smile) had we not had the ref when we did, but am glad we did. We were always uncomfortable bed fellows (smile) with the EU and their trajectory is not one I agree with at all. Getting out later would have been much more painful all round... And it would have come to it eventually.

Donations and member fees to the Brexit Party proved to be far better value than the donations given to Steve Bray. Just saying.
