One thing I want to fact check more than anything, is Boris bullstting us when he says 40 new hospitals are to be built? I will even consider new wings as "hospitals". How near to the truth is this?

One thing I wanted to establish was whether any single thing either of them said was true?

I’m prepared to be astounded.

Every journalist but one is denouncing the cheap Tory stunt of briefly renaming their Twitter feed FactcheckUK and slamming out some fakey news. There is no prize for guessing which journalist.

There's something darkly funny about waking up to see Cleverley and Raab out denying the Prime Minister has a problem with the truth in spite of the audience laughing in his face when he was asked that question and surprisingly couldn't answer truthfully.

Twitter says they will give out lines next time around. Wonder whose play book that was out of.

The SOUND BITE format was never going to do more that confirm peoples existing position, no "debate" was possible.

The format was dreadful. We interrupted The Crown for that drivel. You can get far better informed reading mainstream media. And what is so bizarre with Labour is you have Corbyn on one side and McDonnell on the other, frothing at the mouth on the vary same day.

Good to see that appalling "Fact Check" stunt being called out for what it is.

CCHQ masquerading as a fact checking organisation.

Couldn't make it up.

Er ...., You do know that was the Tory Press Office scamming, don't you? Maitlis shredded Cleverly about the scam.

Clearly it was a dreadful idea, what were they thinking.

It's even worse than the current Labour Party masquerading as a potential uk government.

This and releasing an edited clip of Starmer looking foolish when he can do the job on his own will lead to the Tories grasping defeat from the jaws of victory.

Every time I see James Cleverley he's defending something that's utterly indefensible.

Good to see Maitlis skewering him.

The Starmer Effect wasn't noticeable in the polls schmolls which continue to indicate that brexit is the election x-factor above any considerations of gaffes. That said, if the Conservatives make it a daily occurrence then their current 15-18 point lead will drop. No signs of that level of idiocy have emerged (as yet) thankfully, with merely isolated idiocy to point at..
