Whom to believe: the bloke who’s in charge of the WTO, a bloke who has sources of information denied us, some bloke on PH? Ah! difficult times.
You never see anyone who has a deep understanding of the topic use this argument laugh

If there's time in the school schedule to teach more history (in the early 90's it was nothing but ww1) then there's time to teach some basic public and personal finance and consign the likes of Corbyn to the history class.

I am guessing we are of a similar vintage, purely from usernames.

My history education was strongly biased to European history from 18th Century through to WW1 but nothing more recent. Oddly this probably gave me a European view and context which continues to support my current views. A lot of Scots history as well, but that is forgivable due to location!

I have a Scots / International law degree - the constitutional law teaching provided a good understanding of the workings of the UK governance and process. To your point, in current times, it feels like more people should have this understanding!

Interesting times...
I am 8 years older than you are. My username is a car, not me.

I do have a ‘69 Landrover though, so some connection to old British heaps, sorry classics.

Any update on this? I heard about it this morning but can’t find anything about it anywhere.

The Banks hoo hah is being chatted about on the Farage thread. I have not looked to see if it has its own thread.

One thing I want to fact check more than anything, is Boris bullstting us when he says 40 new hospitals are to be built? I will even consider new wings as "hospitals". How near to the truth is this?

One thing I wanted to establish was whether any single thing either of them said was true?

I’m prepared to be astounded.

Every journalist but one is denouncing the cheap Tory stunt of briefly renaming their Twitter feed FactcheckUK and slamming out some fakey news. There is no prize for guessing which journalist.

There's something darkly funny about waking up to see Cleverley and Raab out denying the Prime Minister has a problem with the truth in spite of the audience laughing in his face when he was asked that question and surprisingly couldn't answer truthfully.
