It is very amusing that with the unequivocal evidence within my previous posts or some simple research that you could not ascertain my age. So you have failed in judgement once again.

It’s a lovely morning on the beach so off for a little run.

Greta has spoken. She "thinks" she's winning.

"The endless conspiracy theories and denial of facts.
The lies, the hate and the bullying of children who communicate and act on the science.
All because some adults - terrified of change - so desperately don't want to talk about the Climate Crisis
This is hope in disguise.
We're winning".

Bless. That's very sweet of her.

So it's not the kids terrified of the climate changing that are the ones terrified of change?

Previously I'd have considered that ironic, but now that I've corrected my thinking I can appreciate how surprisingly refreshing such statements are.

Praise be to Greta.

Simple minded, fair cop, break challenges into manageable bites results in my retirement income being twice the national average wage. My partner ditto. Plus a big wedge of fun money savings for toys. Kids through private education and university debt free and in receipt of the inheritance to purchase houses. 2 out of 3 mortgage free. BTW I’m not old enough to draw my state pension but have been retired your years. It probably won’t change my lifestyle when I receive it.
Oh I say, how vulgar.

She was criticised for that decision as the whole mission was supposed to be carbon-neutral.
"In an ideal world, yes, I would have sailed there and sailed back," she says.
"But this is a more symbolic trip. Greta wanted to sail because it's a good way to send a message to the world that there is no real sustainable option to travel.

"She's not telling anyone how to travel, she's not telling anyone how to live their life."

Oh, yes she bloody well is!

It is utterly bizarre behaviour that I have never seen from any other poster on any forum. This constant need to proclaim one's life achievements and wealth to total strangers. It's not as if they are in anyway noteworthy; there is no dedicated wiki page. I know people who have gone from nothing to 9 figure bank balances who talk less about their money. Perhaps they too appreciate the vulgarity.

Why is he trying to justify his life as a success to people all the time? Does he think it grants him gravitas or adds substance to his opinions? Is he trying to demonstrate how much better he is than "us" and that he should be listened to and respected?

Is it a cry for help, some crisis of confidence now that he is no longed employed? Seeing out his days as no longer making a contribution to society yet trying to justify his value to stranger's on an internet? Is he simply trying to convince himself and his own insecurities that he has been a success, all while battling the nagging doubt of failure compared to his peers?

It's fascinating and obscene at the same time to read, much like watching a car crash. But it's all across this forum, not just in this thread; look at what I've done, children in US, private schools, early retirement, look at my money, understand how much more successful I think I am than you etc....utterly bizarre behaviour.

She is now in the awkward situation where pretty much anything she does will lead to her being slagged off by people who don't agree with her cause. I think she just should have flown, but there you go.

Shes in a win win situation now.

Shes got everyone around the world talking about it, whether for right or wrong reasons. If she now doesnt lead a life of carbon neutral and flies/drives a hellcat/settles down and have kids then the world is doing enough and on the right track.

If she continues down the do as I say, not as I preach route then you'll have those treating her as a saint and those 'hating her ideology

hycklare I believe. I'll leave it up to the rest of the mocking crew to make something funny out of that.

Personally I think she should be in rehab already and her puppeteers prosecuted for child-programming abuse - but hey, shame my views aren't all over the world's news media.
