Hopefully the Bristol city council took the opportunity of the kids all being at this event to go into the schools and disable all the air conditioning plant, replace any vending machines with simple water fountains, and swapped any sixth form car parks for boxes of maps of walking routes to school, and leaflets on life without iphones or fashion clothes.

Because that's what all the kids will be keen to see, after listening to Greta, right?
This is amazing.

I'd wager every kid there never asked for, and does not want air conditioning in their school.

I'd also wager any sixth formers there don't drive. On the whole, they don't drink a lot or do drugs much either.

Using the current Leave.eu as some sort of bastion of common sense and reasonable news source to back up your argument. Well done.

At least you’ve done it proudly where you can tell the other users that still follow it:

“apparently today <inset bile from Leave.eu> happend”

So the photos a fake then? Is it not real? Did they not rip all the grass up?
Whats it matter where the info came from?

They destroyed the grass and its ability to soak up the very pollutant gas they say is killing the planet. Irony parrot has just flown over their and your heads and heading back sweden way.

In fairness to her, she usually travels by public transport (train primarily). Although I bet she regretted that once crossing to the U.K. hehe

Well the whole idea is to get everyone talking about it.

You're not laughing now.
There's talking about it and doing something about it (The UK has done an awful lot already)...and creating a cult like following. The latter is what we're seeing right now.

Just off the top of my head, things the UK has done already (that people seem to forget)...
Much much cleaner vehicle emissions
Taxing the more polluting vehicles to the brink of extinction
Encouraging electric vehicles through incentive schemes/low tax
Windfarms
Solarfarms
Hydrofarms
ULEZ in London
Much improved green spaces/parks
Many more cycle paths
...and lots of things I've forgotten.

These people won't be happy until our elderly are dying of hypothermia and we are living in caves.

It doesn't matter what we do, they always want more.

No the picture is real. If anyone had an event on that piece of grass today it would end up like that. Did they rip it up with their bare hands on purpose? The local park where I walked the dogs this evening was similar after the horrendous weather we’ve had.

The leave.eu site could pass for a parody of right wing propaganda machine. It’s funny and tragic that it’s serious and people get outraged over it. I suppose that’s what Mr Banks wants to happen to the sheep that follow it. I see “they’ve banned Easter eggs” now too.

Not sure who you think "you lot" are but the only people that seem to be "triggered" are the ones that keep mentioning the word triggered nuts

170 pages of not caring...the Greta haters in one image...although the mask often slips in this thread.

You do realise though that most of this thread has absolutely nothing to do with Greta!

Most of the parents are the typical wealthy middle class virtue signallers, some parent was actually crying talking about how proud she was she'd taken her kid out of school to listen to Greta.

I've read hundreds of books on doomsday cults and they all seem to end the same way. Call me a nutcase but in a few years time Greta will be running here own we climate commune in a Swedish forest. One day they'll decide they have done all they can and will decide death is a much better option than saving the already damaged planet.

People are seriously moaning about trampled grass and I need to get a grip? confused

Triggered isn't a word I use often but 170 pages says people do care and a little too much from some of the bile on display.

I say it every single time but if it was your son or daughter on the other end of this st you'd be incandescent but somehow people do their mental gymnastics and persuade themselves that all the "funny" memes and names are acceptable.

It's fked up.

Indeed. Triggered and Snowflake seem to be the in-vogue, disparaging ad hominem insults used to describe anyone you disagree with or don't have a rational response to. Lazy debating skills.
