Speculation that Greece will want the UK to return the Elgin Marbles as the price for an EU trade deal.

First the fish, now it's the 'return or restitution of unlawfully removed cultural object'.

I'm just hoping we're not about to get our pants pulled down by the EU. Where are those sunlit uplands?
Definitely not in Greece......or France, or Germany, or Italy, or Spain, or Ireland, or Portugal, or Hungary, or Poland, or Sweden, or Holland.

The EU has destroyed Europe. It is a mess!

We've been hearing comments like this from the Government here all throughout the process thus far, Portugal values its relationship with the UK and won't allow it to be diminished. Information and assurances to those living here have been superb in my experience.

Well, of the list provided, only Sweden and Holland are in the top 10%. Uk just makes it into the top 10% also.

Can you stop moaning about how immigration has cursed your lives, I have been careful not to mention it in the posts above; Tuna has set up a thread for you to bang on about that.
You don’t set the rules in here mate, live with it, obviously you don’t like to hear of the very real negative effects the lousy EU experiment has had on some people. It is relevant and real life, as opposed to your unending support of the rotten EU.
It’s a gag at the expense of the triggered trying to police the thread. I don’t actually care.

But it’s funny to watch the hypocrisy.
Unusual for you to respond, touched a nerve hasn’t it!
Not one of my nerves no.

It has been amusing to see the Tuna thread run to so many posts, many proving that there is indeed an issue.

And funnier here, after the protestations about not discussing certain topics, to see some of the familiar old myths about wages trotted out, including one story where even if immigrants did affect his sons wages (doubtful), he now has a job where this is no longer an issue, proving surely that he has not been stopped at all from having a good career by immigrants. So why are some still worked up about it?

Cue a pile on, sorry to interrupt the echo chamber.
Yup, you come across as a one trick pony, except your trick has run out of humour.
Anyhow, we are out of the wretched EU now and brighter futures on the horizon for the U.K. and its
populations. smile

You missed Germany and Ireland.

A total of 11 european counties are ahead of UK on the list, all the others are behind.

Just a reply to the 'EU has destroyed Europe' quip smile
Most of the worlds happiest countries are in Europe.

Germany and Ireland are outside the top 10%. The list is 156 countries long so I took the top 15.

There are some interesting placings on that list.

I’d suggest that every western developed country is in the top 10% tbf smile

But out of that list .....only Holland (6) and Sweden (9) are in the top 10

smilesmile

In fact I don’t think Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Iceland, Switzerland or Finland are in the EU but they are the happiest places to live

The only other EU country that makes the top 10 is Denmark

Words fail me .... he’s a fking Mayor, not very good one at that

Perhaps his time should be spent trying to sort out his city’s problems yet here he is grandstanding with the EU begging for Londoners to be given “Associate membership” of the EU

Some people just don’t get it they really don’t

Did London vote Remain or Leave? Not that it matters now.
