Please quote "someone" wishing the EU to collapse...

Comprehension is difficult, we know, but there's a huge difference between pointing out their issues (in the same vein as the ECB and others within the EU have been doing) and wishing economic collapse on our continental neighbours.
There are many here that would delight in the EU collapsing. Denying that is a tad silly.

Could someone explain how the majority of remain voters got to think that those who voted to leave the EU automatically want to see the collapse of the remaining member states, their businesses and employees lose their jobs?
The EU doesnt run these companies, though it would appear they themselves will be the instigators in any collapse in trade.

Because many think that the EU is a country (see above)and are unable to see it is a political construct no more no less...

It comes across from the tone of various posts here and elsewhere.

Several notice it, and it would be silly to pretend it isn’t a thing.

I think it’s OK to laugh at it.

PS it was a quote sway but it was from one of the angrier posters.

Easy assertion to make (just like the one stating people hated the UK) - somewhat harder to back up with evidence though, isn't it?

Uncited, and by your own admission interpreted to mean what you asserted it does...

Besides, I believe the word "many" was applied to the number of posters wishing to see the EU collapse.

Bit silly to make claims about posters on this board you can't back up, isn't it?

Do you use twitter?

Majority is the wrong word though. Just some. I think for the most part, contributors to this thread have an understanding of how it all works that loosely ranges from medium right through to strong. Outside of this thread though, in the twitter sphere, it's pretty grim reading, no matter what lens you look through.

Lots of evidence of British people wanting Ireland to collapse for example and likewise, lots of British people actually wanting the UK to collapse - just so they can say 'told you so'. People actively searching for some sort of victory, no matter how hollow that victory is. Complete lunacy!

After 13 volumes evidence would be very easy to find but I don't have a mind to play your game today.

Would be very easy but you'll decline to try?
Nobody is playing a game here, simply asking for you to stick to comments you can back up.

The difference is that you continually imply that posters hate the countries and their populations that comprise the EU when this is patently not the case. These posters have been clear that they do not agree with the governance the EU politicians have sought to impose on these individual countries.

Other posters, due to their cringingly embarrassing posts and making continual tits of themselves by taking quotes completely out of context to support their intellectually challenged and asinine claims, agree with you.

Personally, I despise the current political construct of the EU but wish no ill will to any individual country within the EU. I see dangers for the continuation of this construct without significant reform and the potential collateral fall out that the UK could suffer if the EU collapses. I fear that it has gone too far to turn back now and a car crash is inevitable - either by debt write off and, possibly, an enforced full federal United States of Europe approach as the only viable solutions remaining.

Rubbish, I have never implied that posters hate the other countries.

Yes, they hate the EU and that is exactly what I have stated.

You can find it easily enough.

You’ll probably invent categories to excuse that behaviour too.

Anyone seen the guy next to the angry QT immigration lady (from Kent who has never seen an immigrant)? He is the RoW looking at the UK!

I don't need to - by your own admission it requires interpretation to get to the claim you've made.

Just as your continued assertions regarding my posts on a completely separate thread require not just interpretation, but immense leaps...

When did you stop beating your wife?

Really? Why the “what difference does that make” post then in response to a challenge that you implied the EU had become a country?

I did once but dont particularly care for it. One thing about social meedya is the cross section - IE in there isnt really one. Thus the most vocal and perhaps extreme (in all directions) use it as their soapbox. If for example you based the result of the last GE on SM rants and hate, Corbyn would now be in No10....
