Is the political reason for the great climate change chaos's fiasco, an attempt to prevent vast sums of money going to the Middle East and Russia? And has Donald not read the script????

It would seem a pretty logical political move to stop our reliance on these nations for the success of our economy?

So send vast sums of money to China instead? So they can buy the oil and coal that will provide the energy needed to make the stuff that is required to convert the European countries to "cheap, clean" electricity production that is required to run all of the new electrical equipment, made in China, that will be required - at least until the European economies decline to a point what makes the purchasing unaffordable?

Quite.

Good responses from the Bursar

Bursar said:
I am not able to arrange any divestment at short notice. But, I can arrange for the gas central heating in college to be switched off with immediate effect. Please let me know if you support this proposal.
Bursar said:
You are right that I am being provocative but I am provoking some clear thinking, I hope. It is all too easy to request others to do things that carry no personal cost to yourself. The question is whether you and others are prepared to make personal sacrifices to achieve the goals of environmental improvement (which I support as a goal.)
Then we have American academics taking part in irony extraction when it would be better left in the ground. They claim the Bursar's responses reflect “self-righteousness” and “ignorance” but they crashed because they failed to look in the mirror before undertaking the manoeuvre.

The thing is the Chinese proposition is like buying the UK a fishing rod, the Middle East are just giving us fish. (I hope that works???).

Well, as a parable it seems very inscrutable.

I guess the fishing rod would be viable if one could find a way to feed 5000 with two fish supported by a baker who can offer 5 loaves to bulk out the meal.

Certainly one of the underlying geo-political aims. Trouble is as LongQ points out you’d be trading one set of dodgy regimes for another.

Not sure about that.
The political reason seems very much more "basic" than that.
Dr Tim Ball explains it nicely on this video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e92U5HzBuLI

The IPCC was set up as a political wing of the UN. It created and set about delivering "Agenda 21", which is nothing more than a left wing push against capitalism on a global scale. And a desire to form a global government - which is a natural desire of the left wing.
Hence why you get the likes of Russia and China signing up to this in the usual climate conferences.
And its also why the majority of those pushing the "climate crisis" angle are of left wing leaning.

Fabulous. Well done the Bursar. A couple of well chosen sentences shine a light on the hipocracy and cluelessness of pillocks. And they still don't get why people are laughing at them.

Its crazy where it has all come to these days.

Its also getting to the point that politicians are rallying against the likes of youtube etc. to sensor (remove) content that does not follow the political narrative.
As google is considered left leaning by many, they may be happy to oblige.
Probably time for everyone to start saving all of Tony Heller's videos to their hard drive for record wink

There's no need, when even the BBC doesn't use your services you should know something's wrong, a new computer will not make any difference, garbage in garbage out only quicker.
