Memories are made of this.

Former UEA Senior Climate Scientists Dr Viner said:
Snowfalls are now just a thing of the past.
...
Winter snowfall will become a very rare and exciting event.
...
Children just aren’t going to know what snow is.
...
These trite / tripe predictions were followed by 16 years 2001-2016 which included of some of the coldest and snowiest UK winters on record.

There's more. Recently published research (Sun et al, 2020) has concluded that, for the whole of eurasia "there are no significant positive or negative interannual trends of snow cover extent from 2000 to 2016"

15 years is climate-relevant - see also 'The Pause' - so that dreck from Viner is well and truly buried alongside the other global warming forecast fiascos (polar ice, New York under water, hurricanes, bears..).

All that the political-religionist myth peddlers need to do is issue a PR extending their agw 'prediction' from "more snow and less snow" to "same snow" though that could be problematic and may need to be buried like the infamous 'insert alarmist and armageddonist factoid' PR, though probably not under a glacier anywhere near Stockport.

UK media lampooning of Viner and global warming claptrap said:
First, I asked Stephen Belcher, the head of the Met Office Hadley Centre, whether the recent extended winter was related to global warming.

Shaking his famous “ghost stick”, and fingering his trademark necklace of sharks’ teeth and mammoth bones, the loin-clothed Belcher blew smoke into a conch, and replied,

“Here come de heap big warmy. Bigtime warmy warmy. Is big big hot. Plenty big warm burny hot. Hot! Hot hot! But now not hot. Not hot now. De hot come go, come go. Now Is Coldy Coldy. Is ice. Hot den cold. Frreeeezy ice til hot again. Den de rain. It faaaalllll. Make pasty.”

For a final word, I turned to the greatest climate change scientist of all, Dr David Viner, one-time senior research scientist at the climatic research unit of the University of East Anglia, who predicted in 2000 that, within a few years, winter snowfall would become “a very rare and exciting event”.

However, he was trapped under a glacier in Stockport, so was unable to comment at the time the Telegraph went to press.
If somebody's starting to think agw is a crock, they're getting warm.

It was bloody freezing watching my lad play football today. Is am fairly certain it's not been this cold in October before. Does make you wonder how long the scientists will keep up this facade.

I’m pretty sure it has been much colder in the past. I’m also pretty sure the scientists can keep up this facade for a long, long time.

In 699 years, they'll realise it's all a load of bks and Elon Musk will have invented magic electrickery, so they'll have to scramble about to find something else to scare the populace into accepting a new socialist world order.

Explain how I get 24Kw of heating into my house with electricity at the same cost as gas then? Also, add a 240v 100Amp additional electricity supply as well.

Still waiting for an answer to this

How long before it dawns on our stupid politicians that once again they've proposed the impossible? Except for the Greens, who've been doing this for years.
