It's official, agw has had its chips, see data from Ahmadi Lahijani et al (2019) in the latest memo that politicians won't see.

Increasing atmospheric levels of carbon dioxide produce higher yields in the good ol' potato; as crops go it's in the world top 5.

CO2 - feeding the planet while on holiday from agw non-duties.

Could you show me where this is stated?

Thanks. Each source linked say that human induced climate change play a part in any increase in duration and extremity, not the only factor as you seem to suggest.

My response is based on reading the introduction and summary. I'll have a more in depth look later.

Did you read the links you posted ?
The first "and here" says Although these trends are consistent with projected impacts of climate change on FFDI, this study cannot separate the influence of climate change, if any, with that of natural variability.

Venice floods: Climate change behind highest tide in 50 years, says mayor

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-50401308

You have to wonder what it will take for some to admit the planet is at, or very near, the tipping point?

What happened between 1966 and this year? Why wasn't it worse year on year up to now or did the climate change reverse in the interim? WIll next year be worse or will it be another 50 years before worse floods?

Is the mayor an 'expert' on climate science? Or any science?

You have to wonder what it will take for everyone to stop claiming every single thing is because of climate change and screaming that the sky is falling down...

Not to worry, Garbage Greta is sailing to Europe with a detailed explanation of how it’s our fault that Venice continues to sink just as it has been doing since construction day # 1.

Thanks Stew, I'm sure he knows much and is well advised.

Some people do make some silly claims, but it is up to us all to stand firm and ensure that climate change is acted upon before things are finally too late. I'm sure you understand.

Greta is raising awareness generally, which is a good thing I'm sure you will agree.

Good point, and you are correct in that next year could well be worse. The time to act is now.

We certainly can't wait 50 years.

I think it's worth posting this here: Open letter to Greta

I posted it on the climate protests blocking roads but it deserves a wider audience.

The author sounds very troubled, I hope he gets the help he clearly needs.

All Greta is doing is spreading false alarm, oh, and making her family yet more £millions.
Good for her, not for humanity though.

Anything that focuses minds on the global climate emergency is surely a good thing?

Every time you open your garage door and see your current fleet, does that focus your mind on "the global climate emergency"?

You of course can provide some sort of evidence for that statement?

The climate models which are used to gull politicians and thus divert policy got a reprieve with the strong 2015/2016 El Nino, as the resulting natural warming could be portrayed as agw; how are they doing now? With the El Nino long dissipated, as badly as before. PDF at the link.

Amen to that. Others behave like politicians, putting sixth-form politics in a science paper.
