Really - it doesn't show.
Thats the difference between us KP, I don't think you can detect the effects of a change in a trace gas in a chaotic system that is not fully understood , you for some strange reason do........
Yeah you're still stuck on basic causality/physics - that's what I'm talking about.
Physics in a lab, not the atmosphere, there is a big difference.

Don't pretend you're making a physics argument. Saying 'trace gas' a lot isn't a physics argument. It's your claims about the science that are weak, not the science.

Well I have to say, this thread was much more fun when gammons were raging against the teen.

It comes and goes in amusement value.

It’s all a bit flat now that the leaders (rapid cooling) prophecies all turned out to be wrong and the associated conspiracy theories about marxism and whatnot are sounding even less likely.

the rapid warming/“only 30minutes left to save the planet”/“Rising seas to ‘obliterate’ nations by 2000” prophecies have also turned out to be wrong.

More than once I’ve read comments on this (and the science) thread that the current warming is rapid.

This is a stupid argument. You can absolutely measure the difference in IR transmission in the atmosphere due to greenhouse gas concentration changes. It's been done.

Physics in the lab and physics out in the real world are the same. Reality is helpful that way.

Well not for the previous 6 years according to the satellite data.

Bottle it, lads. We’ve found someone who doesn’t even think we’re in a warming phase.

How long is a "phase" spin

I’m not playing whack-a-mole with non-scientist AGW (and climate change, it now seems) deniers.
Why not ask a climatologist and put some of your theories to them, then post in here to let us all know how it went.

So no questions allowed in here then? I have to ask a climatologist! Weird really as I doubt if any climatologist would be able to tell me what your view is.
PS. I don't have any theories to put to "them" or you, just a simple question in a simple backwater of a car forum.

Not weird at all.
I’m not the one positing against overwhelming scientific consensus.

I'm not posting anything other than a straight question to you. If you choose not to answer then fine just say so or say nothing.

You could start another thread asking questions to Turbobloke? Did the facts he gave you come to much use?

You could stop trolling or at least find another post in your filing cabinet that's even older than 13 years!

What has happened has happened, there is no way of knowing whether the current warming is rapid or slow, historical global data with enough temporal resolution simply doesn’t exist. It doesn’t matter how qualified the climate scientist is, he/she is as ignorant as the posters on here (myself included) when it comes to this fact.
