More ill considered language, lazy stereotypes..but it's only a book. Written a long time ago. By our prime minister
Considering it is a work of fiction he wrote 15 years ago then yes. Yes he does. Using your imagination to create some unpleasant characters is a bit different from sharing a platform with them or laying wreaths at their funerals.
I refer you to my previous posts. I am not comparing his behaviour to others. I am questioning the language. I find it unacceptable for the reasons I have explained, you find it OK. That's cool. Different folks/different strokes. I would personally choose not to use derogatory terms although for fairness, if these terms came out of a deeply unpleasant characters mouth in the book, One portrayed as having racist views and limited intelligence, the author has artistic licence and a reason to use said descriptors. If these are just general descriptors by a third or first person narrator who has no agenda and no reason to use these words, that is different. I will go find the full context before commenting further. I certainly would not consider using them in general speech or general desccripitve writing.

I was filming at both of those 'pulling sessions' and with the Corbyn one, if you look closely you can see he's wearing my radio mic and I heard him joking 'off camera' that it was probably the worst pint anyone has ever pulled.....! (but he doesn't drink anyway)

Curse of the mic left on and talent forgets.

Heard some things in my day. Forgotten most (heard one corker in the clear over a sat feed whilst waiting to access) but even warning them it is live, they crack on regardless, oblivious. That was a few years ago, hope the press officers are better at their jobs.

Just catching up - BJ makes a nod that the BBC's licence fee model could be looked at sometime in the future, the BBC then jump him with 'an image' on a phone and get their knickers in a twist when he doesn't bite.

No fan of the man but anyone with half a brain wouldn't be drawn into something that could so obviously bite them back.

I'd be equally surprised if Corbyn acted any differently.

Perhaps MR could start a “something must be done “ thread about ITV bias ?

hehe

Fair enough, just watched it on the Beeb news and they didn't caption it as such.

These interviews are often done on a 'pool' basis - where one broadcaster does the interview for all the others to use as it saves loads of time where everyone might ask their own qu's, but invariably get the same answers regardless of the actual question put...!
This might have been ITV's 'pool' i/v - hence why you would have seen it on the BBC and Sky.

So from most of the coverage I’ve learnt Boris is a liar. Which we all know anyway because almost everyone who knows him or has worked with him confirm the case.

However rather shockingly maybe he isn’t lying about selling off the NHS after all. In fact it has already started to be given away by the government under his predecessor...... so technically he isn’t lying about selling it off in the future because this government have already started to give it away.

So I’m confused because I thought GDPR should have stopped this happening? Oh and I’m also scared of what lays ahead if he stays in power and Brexits I mean gives away everything that generations have worked for.

I’m also confused as to how the hell this has happened without it being voted for by parliament?

rofl It's always the wrong type of socialism! Every time it fails and destroys the lives of millions. McDonnell calls himself a Marxist. We know what that is.
Typical "all left wingers are the same" attitude. Life is a bit more complicated than that.
I've absolutely no idea how you managed to infer that from what I've written. I even refer to different types of socialism which would imply the opposite. How odd.

Anyone who defends lies and stupidity in the face of verifiable facts and objectivity because it came from 'their side' is, frankly, an idiot
Lies and stupidity exist in all the parties so on that matter the lies and stupidity from one party cancel out the lies and stupidity from another, to some extent. Anyone who can't see that is, quite frankly, an idiot.
Then we move onto the policies of the parties, where there really is definition, and a choice is to be made about who has policies that we agree with and wish to support.
We also have to prioritise what policies we feel are most important and what the implications of them are in the long-term.
If you are strongly for or against leaving the EU then you're an idiot if you put the character of the political leaders above that. If you want to leave you must seize the chance now because we won't be getting another go if we end up remaining this time. If you are strongly for remaining then you must vote to support a remain policy, come what may, because the legacy of leaving will be for the long term.
If you feel strongly one way or the other but let your opinion of the political party leaders get in the way of that then you're a fking retard. A few years down the line that leader will likely be gone and you'll kick yourself that you didn't think beyond the moment.
Now if you have no strong feelings for leave or remain then lucky you!

It shows just how much Cameron fked up in granting the referendum on the absurdly loose terms he did that a GE becomes a proxy ref 2 and the ensuing years of government are a mere sideshow.

It was Parliament that granted the Referendum, and it was the Lib Dems who first raised holding one in Parliament.

The problems have arisen because the losers refuse to accept they lost and lied about their intent when deciding to hold the Referendum.

Well that's what we get when politicians seek to use something as important as this to beat up the ruling party.
DC called their bluff.
We called his!

Well just over half of “we”.....

But yes a majority nonetheless.

The reality is if you ask a multi-faceted question in an absurdly simplistic fashion of people who are largely ill informed then you’ll get a fk up as a result.

And so as a result here we are ..... deciding between a pair of hapless pantomime villains two weeks before Christmas.

Frankly I’m on the verge of past caring and am strangely relieved that I won’t be around to vote on Thursday and will reappear back in the country on Friday morning to find it all concluded and the next phase of lunacy ready to begin.
