In no way was it 'total mental collapse', obviously. It was a clumsy mis-handling of an ambush.
hardly an ambush, since the picture which had him squirming like a cowardly tit was on the front of a national newspaper. All up front and out in the open.Surely more of an ambush if some dishonest slug records your private conversation then publishes.
His response remains well below expectation, given the seniority of his position and the expectation of ambushes.

Boris's photo ambush was a classic example of an ambush.

They (all parties) all play the press. Every morning (night before usually) they will get the papers and they know what is in them. They will be briefed on how to handle it, which ones make them look bad and which ones make them look good. They also send invites to the press in the way of "PM 12:00 will be opening a fridge factory, be there or be square". The press pack will turn up, some pool resources, others do not. Resources can get shared in other ways across the press pool, sharing clips and other stuff. The whole circus moves on to the next venue as long as there are no bees stuck on the bus.
It is a game. Ambush is turning up on their doorstep at 5am waking them up. Cut and thrust with the press is business as usual.

Slightly ot but I have nothing but praise for our NHS.
I had a cancerous growth surgically removed from by back last year.
Today I had an appointment at our local GP's, at 14.20 to be precise, in order
to inspect what appears to be the beginning of another on my chest.
Walked home, 5 mins from surgery, made a coffee and received a phone call to tell me I have
an appointment at 10. 20 on 23/12/19 at my local GH. Time of phone call 14.38.
How's that for service.

It was at the time.
It is an election. They will get asked awkward questions. Much as Cummings and Boris would love to dictate the narrative and get a sneak preview of the exam paper, they don't. They get to deal with question on the fly. This is an example why they don't want him in front Neil.Camera looked like it was on legs. Or a very steady operator. Often they set up their little area's and the guest bounces down the line. I suppose if he was not supposed to be there (Joe Pike) he would not have been a allowed to set up.

Your complete unquestioning loyalty is quite touching really. Hope they make it worth your while.Acknowledging that Boris's response was clumsy and a mishandling of the situation doesn't constitute a defence of Boris in that situation. Claiming it as such was expected, and an expected fail at that.
Neither Boris's ambush strategy shortcomings nor any one of the other media / soundbite / omigod events makes any difference to the Conservative policy offer as being the least worst option.
I won't be voting Conservative due to any loyalty to Boris, it will be purely and simply my one means to help with avoiding the national catastrophe of a Corbyn-led far Left government, if possible.
15 ex- Labour MPs agree with that ^ in their political advertisement, and quite possibly they would agree with my description of Boris's inadequate ambush response - but understandably they don't discuss that, as it's far, far less important.

Your GP put you on a the 2 week referral wait (fast track because of your medical history) but usually GP then does the referral letters, etc at the end of the morning or afternoon surgery so fair play to have done it in real time. I had a cancerous growth surgically removed from by back last year.

I expect results will vary depending on location and the issue and history and all manner of things.I had a cancerous growth surgically removed from by back last year.

Everyone wants a safer and fairer society. But in this election the Labour Party is set to deliver the opposite.
For an appreciation of desperation, consult Labour canvassers operating outside the London communist borough republics.Alternatively, albeit with a smaller sample of one, have a bit of banter with Ashworth...'the situation in Labour’s heartlands is dire and abysmal', people should 'stop worrying' about the prospects of a Labour election victory because 'it’s not going to happen'.
FYI, desperation looks like that ^^.

I suspect if Boris comes out with a green agenda (which to be fair he did as LM) turbobloke may change his tune very swiftly.
Really? 'Green Agenda' is a very broad brush.I doubt there are many here that would rebel against a truly S.M.A.R.T. green agenda, it's what's lurking in the back ground shadows that worries some of us.
Boris in Wales and doesn't want to speak to the local ITV journo. CH4 as well I think?
