The lesson of this election, which Labour will ignore, is that they would have won a huge landslide if they had any sensible policies.
They went absolutely bat st crazy, had a stupid policy on Brexit and still got 33%. Only a few % from being in government.

Blair-era Labour would have won this by 100 seats.

But then Blair was slightly right of Maggie
At least the hezbollah loving will fk off back to the st hole he came from.
A message I saw a lot on FB really annoyed me: "Vote in the interests of the most vulnerable person you know" (a Labour slogan).
Here's the thing - that is exactly what I did, and I voted Conservative. It is not in the interests of vulnerable people to have the economy collapse around them. We can only afford a generous (and, yes, it is still generous) welfare state because the economy is tolerably strong.
The assumption that Conservative voters only vote in self-interest is pretty offensive. And it's ironic given that most Labour votes are essentially bought with promises of public sector pay increases. The Conservatives promised me literally nothing in this election apart from tax increases down the road (implicitly, to pay for the increased spending).
