Chief Rabbi in "excoriating public criticism" of Corbyn - well-deserved.

There's an unfortunate typo in the msn news coverage of Welby's tweet.

Labour peer Lord Dubs, who came to the UK as a child refugee in 1939, said Labour was “moving forward” on antisemitism and expressed disappointment at the rabbi’s words.

“I am bitterly disappointed by what he said. I don’t accept a lot of what he said, in so far as the Labour party should have acted a lot quicker. But today of all days, for the chief rabbi to be attacking our leader, it is unjustified, unfair and I am bitterly, bitterly disappointed that he has done it,” he said.

Oh No ! Lord Dubs, The Wrong Kind Of .....

The Chief Rabbi's words - Corbyn is unfit for office.

What's disappointing is Corbyn, not the Chief Rabbi's statement.

General election 2019: No apology from Jeremy Corbyn over Labour anti-Semitism claims

Diane was at today's "Manifesto for Race and Faith" launch, first I've seen of her since the election was announced. I'm sure she's busy campaigning in her own constituency, however they do seem to be actively keeping her away from the cameras.

Lady Emily Nugee seems to have been yanked from public view the last couple of weeks as well.

Andrew Neil interviewing Corbyn tonight at 7 should be worth watching.

When Johnson was elected as PM, Chief Rabbi Mirvis wrote:

I am delighted to congratulate Boris Johnson, a longstanding friend and champion of the Jewish community, on becoming the next leader of the Conservative Party and our next Prime Minister.

Hmmm pretty impartial...

What would you expect from the Chief Rabbi with one Party leader presiding over anti-Semitism and another Party leader a champion of the Jewish community?

Apart from all the rest in Labour's back catalogue under Corbyn, Jewish Labour MPs Louise Ellman and Luciana Berger both left the Party after antisemitic abuse and bullying.

It's not exactly bias when both caps fit as above, it's inevitable.

Where the hell is Shami ?
It's like she has vanished I have made this point before but some MP's are strangely quiet recently
There are two reasons a prominent MP might keep a low profile during an election.

1. They’ve been told to because they are a liability. Abbott, JRM...
2. They want to put distance between them and a sinking ship, with an eye on their future. Thornberry, Benn...

Apparently the young people that are registering to vote might care about free wifi and state controlled rents!

Today is the launch of Labour’s race and faith manifesto.

And he can't bring himself to say "sorry" for all the issues that have occurred under his leadership.

You'd think someone would be saying "Erm.. think what you've launched today and think how you look".

Weird.

Probably, but looking at UK demographics there aren't enough of them, and they won't all be voting Labour.

According to a YouGov survey of over 11000 voters, 38% of 18-24 year-old voters are likely to vote Labour. Not exactly a stunning result.

Nobody in this country gives a st what the Chief Rabbi thinks because nobody apart from Jewish people has ever given a fk about the Jews, that includes you all. You bunch of hypocrites are only agreeing with the Rabbi because you're all pro Tory, no mystery there. Certainly won't stop me voting for Jezza! But like you lot I'm sure all the Cornish fisherman and Teeside plant workers and Welsh farmers are really terribly concerned about the plight of Jews in this country . .. fk me you're so transparent it hurts.

It's amazing you know so much about 'you all' i.e us, our heritage and what we care about, though in reality you don't.

From what I've read on PH there are very, very few racist contributors among the ranks.

Not bad for a rant, could have been developed further with more expletives.
