AML Performance Ltd - 200 Cell Cats/Tune

Hi all,

Has anyone had any experience with AML Performance Ltd, in particular the 200 cell cats/tune-up package that they offer?

The cost for the package is around £1500 inclusive, which seems very reasonable. From what I gathered from speaking to AML, the tune-up is simply a mild tune where they modify the cars file to extract more lower end throttle response, modify parameters for lambda sensor readings etc.

Just to add that the above is for the 4.3 V8V.

If anyone has had the above package installed or have any general comments on AML that would be great.

I can’t speak for their 200 cell catalytics but I would highly recommend AML Performance.

Well, funny you should ask ! I have literally just got my 06 Vantage back from AML after having them install the 200 cell cats ( also had car lowered and spacers ) All I can say is do it ! Sounds amazing with the switch on 'loud' but ultra civilised when in quiet mode.I believe the accompanying ECU tune does release a few more horses but regardless of that the car feels and sounds more alive. As to AML themselves, you cant / wont go wrong.

Thanks bigee - I had literally just replied to thank lucas and milu for their feedback, and you posted at the same time!

I'll check with AML, but do you know if the cat installation and ECU tune can be done on the same day, or would it be a 2+ day affair? I'll be travelling from Bristol, so just to get an idea of timescale.

I think same day is possible, seem to recall Mark telling me that a while ago. I left my car for a week as had a few other bits done, definitely speak to Mark, he will look after you for sure,mention poss same day and he will tell you straight which is what you need to know.
Honestly, possibly the best mod I've had done on any car I've owned ,and I've had a lot !

No idea on the cats but another massive thumbs up from me about AML.

Can’t do enough to help, if you appreciate there is only 4/5 working non-stop on 30+ AM’s, I won’t go anywhere else and they are multiples better than the two MD’s I have dealt with.
