Not my experience on Saturday.
What do you mean by ‘official’?

It's not official. It's also not happening everywhere to everyone.

As I said
I purchased in Saturday at 1900 hours.
They retained my card.
If it’s official, or if you have info, please share more details so I can get my card.

Well that's interesting, thanks for sharing.
Whilst we are sharing WoS also ensured they removed all stickers, and insisted that the piece was adjusted to my size and I wore it out of the store (in a nice but insistent manner)

They destickered my Rootbeer and retained the warranty card for 12 months . Gleneagles AD.

That was July 2018. Maybe the hype is slowing ? The bubble deflating? I reckon its up to the individual Ad.

As far as i knew it was filtered through Rolex?

I have just got a sky dweller and I was given the warranty cards. They did tell me that Rolex have told them they must remove the stickers now. So they were all removed for me. Not that I'm fussed and I bought it to enjoy and wear.

laugh That’s not true though is it? Do their adverts or displays show watches covered in stickers or brochure state that they come with them?
Would you ask the same when buying a new car?

If i were buying the car as an investment i might? I would have thought that what ever is in the box is your property? So if they kept the box, would that be ok??

When I buy...I buy to wear. I’m not in the “want the box for the sleeve for the box” camp.

However, a luxury watch is I think without need of argument a piece of jewellery first and foremost. You can kid yourself that it is a “tool” but you won’t kid many others.

Therefore, I think it is reasonable to receive your watch as what is essentially a personal adornment in pristine condition without marks or micro-scratches etc....

Protection should be offered either on or off, depending upon your purchasing preference.

I bought a stainless steel Submariner Date from Mappin & Webb, Cambridge on Saturday 23 November 2019 and they withheld the warranty card and removed all the plastic protection. I was given a colour copy of the warranty card. While I was buying my Submariner I asked if I could take the warranty card for my son's stainless steel Submariner Date he bought from the same store on December 23 2018 and was told no, he will receive a call after 23 December inviting him back to the store to pick up his warranty card.

I viewed a Daytona at an independent store a month a few months back, think it was up for about £25k rolleyes

But with the box they had the papers, warranty, receipts etc. from Fraser Hart, dated October 2019..

So it seems in that case the watch was supplied with everything (and almost immediately flipped...)

Thats because it was bought from Frazer Hart and not one if the WOS group.
