Boris’s entourage has really poor lane discipline. There were so many opportunities for them to move left, but no they just jogged the outside lane. And they weren’t even driving a Scooby.

I think it’s fantastic that a scene like this is totally legit in UK politics. Imagine an equivalent scene happening in the US? laugh
This is better

It’s pretty clear the Scottish voters clearly want independence. They have put the X in the box.

That’ll be £15billion a year more into UK coffers instead of funding Scottish deficits

Just barely, if brexit party had held off I think that could have been different.

Since she took over the seat she has managed to reduce her majority by 24,000. Impressive...

The forum software falls over somewhere around the 500+ page mark, so they create new threads before it happens.
Kinky (the Mod) probably was about to go to bed and saw the 10k fall over mark was going to be hit whilst no mod was watching smile

I was interested to see how Guildford panned out, as LD has been strong in the past, and the standing ex-CON MP (Anne Milton) was now a Independent. Guildford was a remain seat, but traditionally Tory.

End result, CON 44.9%, LD 39.2%, LAB 7.7%, Anne 7.4%

I can't comment if Anne was a well liked/respected MP, (not being my constituency but Guildford is local) but voters (not just UK, in the west) vote mostly for a party, not a person, and it more often than not it appears harmful for a politician to change their political leaning.
