Any word from our resident Labour Remainers who were telling us how well Corbyn was doing, how well Labours policy on Brexit was going down with voters and how the people had changed their minds and now wanted to remain?

Any of them still around?

5 yearsbeer
My vision of the election night was Barry Gardiners interview on Sky. The exit poll had recently been announced and it was going round different people’s views. He was on a video call and his expression first looked like he had been in uncontrollable tears for some time he looked utterly destroyed in every possible way.
Then John McDonnell a similar expression

I somewhat enjoyed watching really pissed off Labour MPs call it out as it is on live TV. Nothing was holding them back

Then the head of momentum - OMG

Owen Jones has been Utterly silent so rare

Anyway this is now all done and our socialist friends we need to bring them all back together one country. I genuinely hope labour realise the strategic position they have is utterly at odds with the UK public and is a position that hasn’t won an election in what will be 55 years come the next GE.
Labour find some real talent get quality policy become electable hold our Govt to task not mrs mollly asked me to ask you why my black bin is getting smaller or some tut like that.

If you don’t..... we’ll start thinking of 2030 as the next chance of getting in.

Boris - make sure you stick to the promises you’ve given the country and you will be rewarded again in 2025.

Are they sulking, or now looking for new jobs?

In the pub last night and tried to have a discussion about the result.

Rather than any discussion, Tory Scum / Racist / Blood on your hands, etc.

Disappointing, fanatical in their support for Corbyn and just repeating what their echo chambers say / repeat on Facebook / Twitter, fundamentally stupid, no thoughts other than to repeat what social media had told them.

It’s going to be interesting. I visit a few customers who are full in left wing activists, marches the whole lot.
I can only imagine the ranting I’m going to be hearing

The ranting and division is nothing compared to what it would have been if Corbyn had won and a second referendum had produced a different result.

The aspiring doctor is particularly eloquent.
Clueless. It’s called Democracy Luv.
Can a doctor ethically and professionally wish someone a ‘horrible death’ as she just did?
Can? She did!

Just remember the next time that have to visit hospital or you may unfortunately be wheeled-in on a trolley that not every nurse, doctor, surgeon is 'wonderful' - you might meet her! eek

The NHS, just like any profession, can have tts among them. They can be just like the st mechanic that has just fked up your engine rebuild, the crap lawyer you employed who did sweet f all for his money, the bent copper who decided you were in the wrong when you were not, the piss-poor driver who reversed into your car and drove off... I could go on.
The above and similar encounters would undoubtedly leave you angry and highly likely 'out of pocket'.

The aforementioned foul-mouthed yob who claims to work in the NHS possibly be a doc - she works in an environment where it's not just money you might lose.
What is the saying, your 'life' is in their hands. Imagine being on her ward and casually picked up Boris' autobiography to read?
Pray!!

Just my opinion but she should be sacked forthwith.

Just make sure you dont have anything pointing towards you're political alliance incase something happens and you get taken to hospital.

I know a nurse that said she hopes we'd have to lay on the floor in A&E and would spit on us as she walked passed.

Well the lefty luvvies are all out in force blaming the public. Most conciliatory is the crisp salesman who wished Boris well. Everywhere Hugh Grant campaigned he supported a loser. Usual cry baby Lily Allen. And so on.

She wants to be a doctor, she isn’t one.

She’s a moron, for sure.

Friday morning a couple of my Facebook pals posted up epic rants that ended with "If you're reading this and voted Tory you can fk off from my friends list". I took them at their word and happily defriended them. One of them has just PMed me to ask if he can borrow my van tomorrow to pick up a bike! Guess what?

Do you think that demonstrating while wearing a T-shirt printed with "Kill the Tories" should be lawful?
No.

I think I've made it perfectly and repeatedly clear that if any laws have been broken I've no issue with the Police taking whatever action they feel is appropriate.

I don't agree with the sentiment that laws need changing simply because people might dare to demonstrate against a government.
I agree, there has to be legal limitations, how would we feel about the protesters in Hongkong being rounded up if they stepped out onto the streets.
I think that's the point though isn't it?

If we saw that kind of thing happening in China or Russia we'd call it a crackdown on dissent by a brutal regime.

Something to reflect on for anyone calling for that sort of thing here.
So you do think it should be lawful then?
