I know your wont is to take the piss dave but if the Tories were running a leadership campaign with 5 white candidates you can guarantee there would be complaints from the Labour about a lack of diversity.
And they would just point at James Cleverly, deputy/co chairman of the conservatives for the last five years I believe.

Indeed if Rebecca Wrong Daily (because she is wrong Daily) gets the top spot, labour will be all but unelectable for many years to come. I hope she gets top spot! smile
I kind of do and kind of don't. Good govt needs strong opposition, it stops them getting carried away and keeps them focused. Opposition should look like a govt in waiting. I don't think she will.

The UK is fundamentally (since at least '92) been fundamentally centrist.
Agreed, but that seem to be the point that labour don't seem able to grasp.

Three of them are dressed in black, does that count?

Lady Hyacinth Nugee obviously didn't get the memo and has got her garden camouflage outfit on instead.

All of the candidates are claiming that their message was correct - and we didn't understand.

They have not learned.
We heard just fine. We did not like their message one bit.

None of them are worthy of being Leader.

Just watching the first hustings on YouTube now. Keir Starmer looks the only one that might just be Prime minister material.

Jess Philips just comes across as too emotional and a bit hysterical. It's good to be passionate of course but a PM has to be level headed.

The only one with any chance of connecting with voters is Lisa Nandy.

Sweaty Starmer is just simply unlikeable and unvotable.

Thornberry: Dolores Umbridge. Can't unsee it.
Phillips: The person you see shouting at the customer service desk in Asda.
Nandy: That woman you work with who is perfectly likeable but you never trust with anything important.
Starmer: Your mate's dad who you're terrified of.
Long-Bailey: That person you interview for a job who you quickly realise is completely unsuitable but is hoping to blag their way through.

Cracking pair of forearms on Emily, just like my grandad’s, who was a stoker on battleships in WW2. All she is missing is the tattoos.

Labours last safe area in wales is narrowing sharpish north wales is all but over mid and west wales is gone the only area left is the valleys. However that isn't that strong every area labour lost at least 10-15% vote share with most of that going to the Brexit party with a small rise for the tories.
If welsh tories can get their act together and welsh labour with mr we don't need a m4 relief road drakford in charge could easily see it shrink even further.

I personally cant see where labour can reclaim seats from with any of the options presented and im not sure which person could do any better than Corbyn.

It's a disrespectful reference to Emily Thornberry.
A woman I find challenging but at times rather erotic.

Ah ok. I didn't realise until this morning Lisa Nandy is in fact mixed race, she doesn't actually look it, but could claim to be a 'woman of colour'.

She is also the only one of them who looks normal.

Give her a go I say and if she lacks a bit of experience now then at least she hasn't spent her life learning all the wrong things (like Corbyn)

I agree. If I had a leadership election vote, I would vote for her TBH. She is the only one who passes the "would I trust this person to look after my mum" test.

I think Jess Phillips will be out soon. I think that Lisa Nandy will do well but will ultimately be a victim of the Starmer/Long-Bailey battle.
