Seems to me that it will be down to Starmer and Long-Bailey. I think that Emily Thornbury will be out soon and I somehow feel that Lisa Nandy will not get enough wider support because she doesn't have recognition amongst the membership and isn't seen by them as a big hitter. You could say the same for Long-Bailey but she has Momentum in her corner.

Having said that, nobody had heard of David Cameron before he ran for leader...so you never know I guess.

I reckon that Momentum, and the current leadership, will be working overtime to make sure of the "right" result.
The "left" result you mean comrade ?
Your obvious support is welcome but another mistake like that and you may be required to attend some additional training

It would be fking hilarious if they get their first woman leader because a man gives it to them. Especially if it goes to Wrong Daily.

Meanwhile, Wrong-Daily also appeals to gender, and claims she'll take the party in a completely different direction to Corbs... Without giving any example except for open votes to reselect sitting MPs.

I'm convinced Comrades!

Unless she really steps up to the plate, I honestly cannot see RL-B causing Boris any problems at the despatch box.

That's not a good thing for our democracy.

Lady Hyacinth Nugee is being interviewed by Andrew Neil on his show tonight at 7pm, BBC2.

Could be good.

I see Chinese for Labour have come out in favour of Nandy. Does that mean we get an impeachment when she gets elected?

Assuming thats current party members who were polled, I think it speaks quite a bit about the change in membership! eek

Let's see the results for Labour voters!?!?!? and broken down to people who have voted Labour in the past as well as people who may have normally called themselves Labour?

And also general voters?

It's like any survey that asks "Name the best xyz" (where xyz is film, song, album, group, book, whatever). people just answer with the last thing they heard/read/watched/whatever.

So Magic Grandpa was bound to be the best because he's the last leader.

...and isn't it amazing (for which read 'significant') that the only leader who won three General Elections very soundly for them polled so badly ?

Maybe they don't want to be in power ?

I think it was more than that.... there was a huge increase (record new members making it the biggest etc etc...) of new members who joined on the Trotsky/hard left band wagon in order to vote Jezza in and then keep him there in post.

Bizarrely, they have then polled these self same people to see who they thought was the best leader?? ffs..... no lessons learned anywhere it seems?

Lady Nugee appears to be delivering on Andrew Neil, she's gone full-on car crash

Simultaneously sneery and shouty, I'm not sure how she manages it quite so well.

God knows how she thinks this attitude-tastic performance is going to get her any votes.

New haircut, soft, silky top with 80s tie design, changes between posh voice and comon voice. Very slightly annoyed at being asked questions.
