Haven't been paying attention to the beauty contest for next leader. Who has made the best job apologising to the huge jewish lobby that decides who leads a party very few of them actually support?

It is during an election that the true financial power of the Conservatives is revealed.

The Telegraph reports that contributions during this past general election to the various parties was as follows:

Conservatives: £37m
Labour: £10.7m
Lib Dems: £13.6m
Brexit: £7.1m

It's worth noting that Lord Saisnbury donated £8m to the Lib Dems, which skewed their income. The Brexit party benefitted from a single donation of £6.4m.

Most of Labour's income came from the unions.
Yes but it's f* all really, Bloomberg has spent $409m so far by contrast and he probably still won't win
And if Labour had had a leader who wasn't Corbyn, they would have won despite the spending so it doesn't make a difference

It's the same crap from Labour, we need the government to start forking out more cash! Such an easy Mantra when you're not accountable for it. The party is completely irrelevant now.

it's sad that people feel this way about Labour now. We need them to stop moaning about the election result, open their eyes to the reasons why they are currently perceived as unelectable, stop dragging their heels electing a new leader, and to start behaving like a serious opposition party able to at least worry the government into debating things properly in The House.

Having a strong opposition to hold Government to account is vital to democracy, but Labour look like an opposition in name only right now. The circus that is their leadership contest is distracting them from discharging their duty as opposition MPs, and the longer it goes on the harder it will be to rebuild the party and regain the support of the electorate.

I don't care who they elect as leader right now, i'd just like the whole distracting sideshow to end and for them to get on with their jobs again...

Shows me that Wrong-Daily doesn’t know how to pronounce Calder, and that she also doesn’t grasp that the Calder Valley has a history of floods going back centuries, it is only since the industrial revolution that this has been a problem for the people living there, because before then no bugger lived there on account of it being flooded regularly.

Richard Burgon on Andrew Marr now. Apparently they lost the election because the right wing UK press turned on an honest and decent man.

Wow.

Got to love the tactic of telling people they're thick and easily lead by what they read in the press, whilst also asking for their vote.

He is talking to those that vote for the leader as far as I saw it on Marr.

Marr as ever the consulate griller of politico's and seen as a deadly foe for them telling porkies.
