I think the last thing the north needs is more 'doughnut towns'.
In the north they'll be called Greggs towns.

Not sure if this has been noted but Buzz Bingo to close 26 bingo halls and 573 jobs at risk of redundancy.

Still has 91 clubs left.

GAP are jumping on the bandwagon doing their bit for their customers. A 3 pack of masks for £12.95. But if you don't have one before 24th July is there going to be some sort of wormhole paradox?

Don't see what the issue is there, they are only reacting to inevitable consumer demand.

I was in Aldi yesterday doing the weekly shop, I actually had a look to see if they were offering face masks, they weren't.

It was more a comment on the "need one to buy one" situation. It amused me. Maybe the wrong thread for such frivolity.

Aldi are selling face masks, I bought a pack a few weeks ago. They are by the till and in surgical blue.

I haven't actually used it, but will once the deadline kicks in.

I wasn't until recently but I am now, as I'm off to France next week and they are heavily used there and I wanted to get into the habit.

Doesn't both me that much, I'm a functional shopper (in, buy 5 shirts, out) rather than a browsing leisure shopper.

I am in Scotland so we've had to use them since Friday.

Besides, as per the Dominic Cummings thing means that anyone can make their own decisions. No one getting sacked for ignoring their own moronic guidance.

Pizza Express to close 75 stores

https://www.thesun.co.uk/money/12141172/pizza-expr...

I suspect one of these will be the Surbiton branch as it looks like it is never going to open again.

Pizza Express was in trouble pre-Covid. Handy thing to blame it on.

I think there will be a lot of "on the brink" businesses blaming Covid for the inevitable, the end result is the same but I guess it means the people at the top don't have to take the blame for their own failings.
