If you go on the icke forum....

Like i have said before in this thread i don't believe almost anything off there, however i don't believe a lot that the worlds msm says either.

It isn't that far fetched for various diseases to be man made. It is ignorant to believe everything world governments tell us.

Is it normal that its just chinese people dying and they are using extreme measures to contain people, meanwhile every where else carries on. I simply don't believe our government or others are simply that stupid, no matter who is in charge.
Apart from the ridiculousness of using a website that openly considers such topics as humanity enslaved by hidden lizard overlords, the provenance of the virus has been analysed. It has genetic markers indicating bat>pangolin provenance.
To relate it to cars.

It’s like a cloned numberplate.
Changed VIN.
Cut and shut.
Engine swap with VIN ground off.
Non DVLA registered category write-off repair.
Copied/modified service books.

Lots of things can indicate provenance.

Lots of ways to fudge it.

Who knows. Not you or I.

Being suspect is a sensible position to take.

I am not saying it is true, I'm just saying i enjoy reading it and it isn't too far fetched imo.

it has genetic markers indicating bat......or at least that's what you've been told so its correct and true....
Thing is, now you can check for yourself. You can use open source data via platforms like blast, you can get info from independant research places like unis, some are at .gov domains etc etc.

This is the brilliant thing about modern science and our access to information. Before this outbreak, I'd never heard of blast. Sure enough, you can go here https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/genome/viruses/ and find all sorts of info.

I lack the background to do it (chemist here) but since thousands of interested people have access, and pretty much all but icke forum types concur "it's probably natural" then I'll go with that.

For the record, 10 ish days ago this really scared me. As every day goes by without the "not wuhan" data not concurring at all with whatever CCP wants us to read, it looks more and more like we're.not headed for corona-geddon. Thank god.

Hopefully we'll all be fine as long as the triads don't pinch all the bog roll!

The Epidemiological Characteristics of an Outbreak of 2019 Novel Coronavirus Diseases COVID 19 China 2020 said:
In light of this rapid spread, it is fortunate that COVID-19 has been mild for 81% of patients and has a very low overall case fatality rate of 2.3%. among the 1,023 deaths, a majority have been ?60 years of age and/or have had pre-existing, comorbid conditions such as hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes. Moreover, the case fatality rate is unsurprisingly highest among critical cases at 49%, and no deaths have occurred among those with mild or even severe symptoms
Death rate tallies with what everyone else is typically saying. Well, everyone else who counts, at least. Also the same characterisation of the group most at risk. Not sure what the final sentence implies other than that there are no cases where someone with 'only' severe symptoms suddenly dies, rather they always progress to a period of severe symptoms first?
“Death rate” tallies because the report is from China CDC, and ‘everyone else’ (not really everyone) has been repeating what they say.

Doesn’t change the fact that it is the “naive CFR”, which is misleading at this stage in the outbreak.

The misleading % has indeed been viral in itself.
As I’ve said I hope Govts haven’t based their strategic decisions on it.

Looks like the WHO “people on the ground” won’t be going to Wuhan or even Hubei province.

I guess the data looks better on a screen in Beijing than it does in Switzerland,

Playing Devils advocate.

I guess if it is the Flu basically then they can see what they need to see with data and cameras. If they go to Wuhan they potentially could catch it and China couldn't stop them leaving without sparking an international incident.

The news painted a grim picture tonight.

The health service has commandeered a hotel for quarantine purposes

Deaths and infected numbers up.

Anyone else thinking 28 days later

So China has quarantined a fairly hefty percentage of the entire global population. Trade is significantly slowing. People are being dragged out of their homes and placed in camps. Etc etc

In EU/UK/US after an initial slight concern its like nothing is really happening. Few people got a cold but recovered well. Some sensible precautions to bring people home and stop the virus spreading unnecessarily but otherwise this now feels like a minor news story. Havent heard BoJo mention it once.

Very strange.

Either something very bad happening in China and the rest of the world is being totally naive or this virus genuinely isnt as bad as first thought and China is using this as some form of population control.

Whilst it is absolutely true that the naive CFR is misleading during the course of an increasing outbreak, what is also absolutely true is that no government is going to be basing their strategic decisions on the crepe you pull out your fundamental orifice either.

Very true. However in the grand scheme of things the experts have stated x. I’ll go with x ahead of the alternative courtesy of the wibble people.

Biggest population control is putting money in the population’s pocket.

This is doing the reverse so it can’t be that.

It’s a hotel for those currently trapped on the cruise ships.

Or decades of CCP policy on pollution (and smoking) has come home to roost, and it's having it's worst effect amongst the elderly members of the population. In a culture which still has an enhanced respect for the elder generation, borne of the Confucian tradition, you can see why the CCP would want to limit the outbreak as much as possible.

Was it your mate who was going to be running the marathon in Tokyo, BTW - is he still going?

Read about *why* they've appropriated the hotel - incoming evacuees etc

It sounds much less dramatic when you add context. Context you could have easily added but chose not to.
