Why would the PE teachers come into school with a fever, just back from Italy. Haven’t they been reading the news?
We have no idea, but it seems ill adviced doesn’t it.
.
The new self isolation advice came from public health England .

To us it seems a little too late with advice.

Also as a frame of reference re potential risks.

Tomorrow we were due to attend a workshop in Pershore for drone related Agri tech.

It’s been cancelled because the presenters have a fever and have been quarantineed.

Is the advice for family members to isolate as well? Surely if relatives have contracted it then picking them up in the car at the airport gives possibility for family etc to get it?

We also had a start up funding show in Luxembourg for the 1st and 2nd of April.

And finally, one of our team of mentors and coaches was due to fly at the weekend to do a tour of Japan.

The whole trip has now been cancelled due to cornonaviris related fears.

It does appear that this is now about to explode all over Europe.

The chances of containment or minimising the spread are long gone.

I wouldn't normally worry about this sort of thing. But having only just recovered from another illness I am slightly worried.

Today’s update here.

That looks anything but scary to me.

The doom mongers really do need to have a word with themselves...

So I’m not a tin foil hat type, but I have to say I’m now really scared.

This has now affected us personally.

My sons school is one of the schools on enforced self quarantine.

They spent the last week in Northern ITALY for a school skiing trip.

Now 47 students and 12 staff have been forced in to two weeks of self quarantine.

I have to say I am now very very worried.
Any confirmed infections then?
We are waiting for the results tomorrow.
Ok that"s the exact same situation with my daughters school, on top of that it turns out that one of the teachers has just returned from China, without telling anyone. biggrin

Getting very worried here.
Anyone making preparations?

The immigration queue was huge for us as european passport holders, but nothing compared to the others, ie Easterners etc.

We were right next to them, but 90% of them had face masks on.

Our queue was mental, took maybe over an hour and a half.

The back up was mental, perhaps 1000+ people.
That queue of people were mostly from the east,,so lots of flights from Singapore and Japan.

There was a group of people in hazmat suits with equipment taking people’s readings, which we assumed was temperature etc.

Some of them were led off by several people in hazmat suits.

It was really scary to see, and even more so to try and explain to my young chidren what was actually going on.

Surely you just tell them the truth? They might be sick so they are off for treatment? It's not like they will be executed or turn into Zombies.
