So the Dems have had four years to find somebody that can beat Trump but prefer candidates that have no chance

I think they've been more or less focussed on one single issue that has consumed them, that being to remove Trump from office.

That’s a good point, keeping up with the relentless corruption has been a pretty time consuming task. It would be ridiculous if they can’t find a decent functioning human to take on trump though. It’s a pretty low bar.

I am thinking its all about the woke.
If you're not fully woke then media outlets will brand you as being Hitler or Trump.

Bloomberg has a history of making some non-woke comments, which of course means he is in the bad books with those who are on the "inequality" warpath agendas.
You are spot on. However, there are plenty in the Dem party that will forego those particular principles to have a candidate that can beat Trump. Besides, “woke” often refers to an overly PC agenda that is perfect for losing.

It would be ironic if Bernie got most votes from all the primaries, but didn't get the nomination smile
(Also a tragedy)
Re:2nd choice, I meant that if the more conservative candidates were to drop out, Berni would get their votes((according to the polls)
I think you are correct, that is if they don’t just stay home.

But here is something to watch. Will the US media give that the same attention it Did on Trump? It depends on if they decide they want him to win or not. There is still a civil war between sticking to Bernie principles or beating Trump.

Perhaps it is such that nobody want to subject themselves to what it means to run for office these days.

It may be a low bar on him personally but Trump has accomplished much of what he said he would. Not many others before him have. That is the bar to beat.

As we have discussed endlessly on the 'other' thread, that is very much open to debate...

So you've brought your fake news over to this thread to see if it gets believed here then? He's not accomplished many of his objectives - certainly hasn't built the wall, fixed healthcare, published his tax returns, learnt how to apply fake tan, etc.

It is also very open to personal opinion. The opinion of those positively effected.

To stick to the “what’s next”
In this process, the fog will clear some after the Las Vegas debate (Bloomberg’s first). It will clear much more after March 3rd (Super Tuesday).

Does that mean he's gonna lose...the Dems have (another) open goal, right, and you'll be betting the farm on them.

Naturally, if the Democrats lose (again) and to somebody like Trump, they must surely be the most useless/out of touch/deluded/incompetent bunch to grace the USA electoral stage. If they win, well, what else would you expect when they're up against Trump.

I think you're bang on, it would be ridiculous if they lost to trump, and yet, at the moment, it looks like there is every chance they will.

Long way to go yet though. I like Mayor Pete, if he got the nomination and then went up against trump, the chasmic difference in both decency and intellect would make trump appear even more clumsy and unsure than he usually does. A couple of hours of debate being shown up for what he is might be something of a game-changer.

They didn't find any corruption other than their own which they are now trying to frantically cover-up and prevent investigations by the attorney general

I understand what a great president the USA has, I used to have reservations about Trump but his results speak for themselves and his re-election is a mere formality
