I understand what a great president the USA has, I used to have reservations about Trump but his results speak for themselves and his re-election is a mere formality
I don't think we have much common ground on this, NN.

Mike B’s first debate tonight. He will be strongly targeted by the other Dems. This will be interesting. The things he was praised for doing as New York Mayor are similar to what Trump has done for the US. However, he has to debate that he will take a different course as POTUS. He may do a Bill Clinton and run left but govern to the middle, which worked.

Bless.
I have to say that RB cited 10 counts of obstruction of justice in his report, WB is on record for lying to congress about this matter.

Then there's the perfect call to the Ukrainian Prem, which was so good the tapes have had to hidden in a vault never to be heard again wink

That's before we take into account the eye witness testimony's from Trumps own staff.

To give you some context it's the equivalent of grand jury (against a drug dealer) hearing the evidence & deciding that it's good enough to go to trial.

At which point the drug dealer & his buddies decide that the evidence & witnesses (which you've seen on TV) can't be used as well as the fact that the dealers buddies are now the Jurors, the dealer gets acquitted & runs round telling everyone it's a witch hunt & how much he believes in the Justice system now he's fully vindicated.

That's just the tip of the iceberg once you start to look at the way he's enriched himself by using his presidency to do so, just in case you weren't sure that's illegal.

Finance campaign abuses, directing the Justice department to lighten Roger Stones sentencing which caused four prosecutors to quit as they refused to (they asked for 7-9 when he could have got 20 so they were already being fair) do so.

All 100% correct, but the response will be:

Interesting that Sanders is 78 And Bloomberg will be 79 in a short time. That said, Mike May use Sanders’ recent heart attack against his physical fitness for the job. My guess is they will avoid that angle unless one of the younger candidates bring it up.

Nobody seems to be talking about Joe Biden. Don’t count him out yet. The March 3rd Super Tuesday covers many southern states. Biden probably has more support in that region than Sanders does imo.
Another wildcard, Tom Steyer is polling really well ahead of South Carolina. Again, the fog may clear a bit after 3 March.

I have to say Tom Steyer is my wildcard, I expect Biden to bounce back but it'll be him & Pete taking votes off of each other.

That is sound reasoning. If the middle/moderates can out do the left, it will be Bloomberg imo. The things about Mike the Dems don’t like May be overlooked if they think he can win the Presidency.

Steyer has shortened from 1000/1 to just under 500/1. The good thing about the Exchanges is that the prices represent the opinions and knowledge of all those involved in forming the market, hence why the big high street bookies track and copy the price movements. Prices can be moved by a rogue opinion with enough money, but the market normally soon corrects to reflect majority opinion over eccentric money.

Donald Trump isn't exactly a spring chicken.

A bunch of 70 year olds arguing whose the most youthful seems unlikely.

If we are doing betting, what's the odds of the next president dying in office?

We really have to wait until after 3 March to get more bearing on what is happening.

What a load of rubbish.

If it happens, that sale will be to a "friend", who will then wrap the proceeds of Bloomberg Co. up in a series of complex, interlinked off-shore accounts.

Despite what he might say, he didn't get to where he is by gifting money away and I don't think anything will change.

An interesting comment from Pete on the debate stage tonight:

Buttigieg says Sanders and Bloomberg are “the two most polarizing figures on this stage," calling them "a socialist who thinks that capitalism is the root of all evil and a billionaire who thinks that money ought to be the root of all power." https://cnn.it/2SU6pyg #DemDebate

Perhaps I should apply for a job with CNN. I can't recall when I last saw an article so badly littered with spelling and grammatical errors.

Genuinely awful.

They probably wrote it hastily to get it out ahead of the competition. However, I have noticed that the media, especially the digital media, is lazy and lacking in both proof reading and editorial scrutiny.
