I assume I'm one of the "three".However you have posted far more than me in here since you returned.

I had no feelings either way for the man until he showed his true colours right from the off once he was in office.
He's embarrassing your country on a global scale. If that's acceptable to you because he keeps his base at home happy, fine.
Whether we feel one way or another about him, what is that to you? He's embarrassing your country on a global scale. If that's acceptable to you because he keeps his base at home happy, fine.
Level of detail? What? Doing some reading? Keeping abreast of current affairs?
No, more like grovelling in the mud for any and all headlines, details, speculation, hearsay, innuendo, facts, quasi-facts, etc. that comes forth. That is not "keeping abreast".

Wonder where you get that from...
Going to leave this link here near the front page so it's easy to find:
https://data.oecd.org/
Very easy to use.
If you want to say X politician caused Y change in the economy then put the statistic you want to talk about in the search bar, such as GDP Growth, national debt or whatever. Pick the relevant statistic from the results and you will be presented with a chart.
Under the graph uncheck the box that says "latest data available". This will then show data going as far back as they have it.
Use the "Countries" drop down to add relevant peer countries from the OECD.
This should make it easy to provide the minimum level of context required for any statement that X politician caused Y effect in the economy.

Former US Ukraine ambassador Bill Taylor was frustrated that Giuliani was agitating for investigations that were never official U.S. policy. Taylor said no one at the State Dept. directed him to investigate whether there was a server in Ukraine because, "no one took it seriously
Pelley: "What are the chances that this whispering campaign about a DNC server in Ukraine is actually a Russian intel operation?"
Bill Taylor: "The Russians are very good at that. It's these fake stories that they have propagated. And that's what they do. They do it pretty well."

Game Face make a point however. I came here, engaged, gave my point of view, debated, argued, etc. with posters; all but a couple who held opposite views to my own. I have come to realize that a number of folks pass through here about once a day followed by about three who settle in for the remaining shift.
It has become apparent that none of us will change the others opinion as it pertains to me and the few "permanent residents" of this thread. Therefore, all that remains is to battle and insult with no clear movement. This is as pointless as fighting on Flanders Field.
Therefore, I will spend less time here and more on other PH threads. The E.U. Negotiations and POTUS 2020 threads are interesting to me as well as a few others and they are far more enjoyable and less tedious. I am not "running off", again, I simply see no point in battle for battle's sake. I will pass through here once a day or so to see if there are any questions specifically for me or that I can maybe help with; however, not to the level of time spent here thus far. I will leave you three to grovel in the mud of the endless news sources and opinion sites and hammer away through the evening and get back to cross-self affirmation.

I suspect that the least your country could expect is for you to expend this much energy helping it through its current crisis. She is getting a bit jealous of the fanatical adherence to all things Trump by her own inhabitants, of a place thousands of mile away. It is blatantly obvious you do this out of hate for one man, not out of your heartfelt care for our well being here in the U.S. Hate is corrosive, it takes all your time (as this obviously does) and eats away at your insides. Stop hating gentlemen, you will feel so much better.
Jim,As stated before, historically we've delegated several,of our responsibilities to the US who have been pleased to have and use that influence. Defence, finance etc, so as such the US has a huge influence in the world.
FInancially that was obvious in the 2008 banking crisis that started in the US, militarily, the US have generally been a stabilising influence in the past, using their influence around the world as a counter balance against other aggressive regimes.
So of course what the US does has a huge influence around the world, so it's not surprising everyone takes an interest, more so for some of us that travel, or have connections to the US.
It's a great view that trumpets have that this is because everyone who opposes trump is because they hate him, but there's no hate. There's surprise, astonishment, that someone like trump can be allowed to behave as he is, for his own good. We're not used to that with previous presidents (ignoring Nixon?).
Mostly it's 'look what he's doing now, how is that allowed', just astonishment that the GPO, McConnell etc are so desperate to hold onto power that they'll allow anything, cover up anything.
And also, since Tony Bliar who followed US ways, we seem to be following US politics, so who's to say this won't happen here. Theres evidence that the Russians interfered in Brexit as a dry run for the 2016 interference, Cambridge Analytica was involved also.
There's more ties than you think, so the US is definitely something to watch.
Then of course there's the whole of modern history happening in our time. Only the third president to be impeached, everything happening in real time. Of course it's of interest, it's unprecedented what trump has done to US politics, a real step change. We'll just disagree on whether it's for the good or not
P.s. Sorry Jim wrote that whilst you said you were bowing out.
We may disagree but thank you for at least putting your point of view. It's interesting to see the other side, which is similar to some convesrsations ive had in the US, not always pleasant with some trump supporters!
At least you didn't come her just for the wind up like others.

Thanks Byker; and no, I never do anything just for a "wind up". As stated, I will pass through each day or so for a short time to see if something different occurs. I'll be other threads here. Thanks again. ETA: If we cross up in actual 3D form, that promise for a beer is still on. We may disagree but thank you for at least putting your point of view. They are making rebar ladders now to cross the wall. The rusty rebar matches the rusty wall making them hard to see.
https://eu.elpasotimes.com/story/news/2020/02/14/s...
Smugglers in Juárez have engineered camouflage hook-and-ladders made of rebar that blend in so well with the border wall that it can be hard to detect, according to U.S. Border Patrol. The ladders are the same rust brown color as the mesh panels or steel beams of the fence.
El Paso's urban stretch of border is littered with the rusted rebar ladders at the base on both sides — ladders lying in wait on the Mexican side, ladders pulled down by border agents or abandoned by smugglers on the U.S. side. One of the rebar ladders was poking out of a dumpster in a lot near the Chihuahuita neighborhood on Thursday.
"Somebody is making money off those ladders," said Agent Joe Romero, pointing to a mangled version tossed in the dirt on the U.S. side. "The agents pulled it off the wall and cut it up so it can't be used again."

Your record is clear: you refuse to talk about Trump's behaviour, and you do that transparently faux-sincere deflection thing when directly challenged. It has become apparent that none of us will change the others opinion as it pertains to me and the few "permanent residents" of this thread.
