No, he attended Harvard law. He was a “senior lecturer” at A Chicago Law School. That is an intermittent position not a “professor” but you are not totally inaccurate.

And Trump was never even a Senator.

Student there, led the Law Review, taught at University of Chicago for 12 years,as well as in private practice

If Obama had done 1 tenth of that Trump has done IN OFFICE, the GOP would have been screaming for impeachment

Yes, not a politician. Part of why he was elected. People here respect business or private experience over political.
That said, if one ever gets the chance to be a Senator, jump on that. No executive requirements, simply legislate and vote or, in most cases, just vote or abstain. One term and you are set for life in many ways. Can’t knock it.

Jimbeaux - you are so selective with your replies.

You've claimed before it's because this thread is a pile on, an echo chamber, TDS, hysterical, lacking decorum.

You've found time to post hundreds of replies.

But you miss the substantive point of almost every single post you reply to.

It's hard to draw anything except one conclusion from this.

Correct.

Your country elected someone with NO POLITICAL EXPERIENCE WHATSOEVER as President.

And he proves it every single day.

I still stand by that opinion. As to my large post number; if I am standing here trying to respond to a barrage from multiple posters, it stands to reason that my post count would be high. My responses cannot respond thoroughly to each and every poster.

I am sorry you feel as if I am being too selective.

I did say I would stop by every few days if time permitted to see what is going on. Which leads me to what a poster on this thread said in response to “where I was”; that response being that I “ran away to the Election 2020 thread”. That was cheap imo. I didn’t run away, I went to a thread that is both more interesting to me as well as more relevant imo.

I think you'll struggle on Sanders.
Bloomberg,in the debate, carried to paint him as a millionaire with 3 houses,so the same as him. Bloomberg has 14 houses and 9 planes!!!!
See, the more houses and planes you own, the dirtier you must be. biggrin
Trump must have a city and an entire air forcebiggrin
Well,he did have an airline but that went bust

Jim, what is your opinion of these shenanigans?
The potus using his official government twitter account to launch personal attacks on journalists who either disagree or call him out and revel in it when they lose their jobs.

And that is your opinion sir. One many of us differ with. Fortunately for those of us who differ, ours matters more than yours.

So a UK Trump supporters opinion matters more than mine?

Cavuto has on someone who stated that Trump his debates. Trump showed multiple surveys that showed otherwise. That said, my opinion is that he should not have gutted Cavuto for bringing her own. I do not like when he does these “shenanigans” as you call them. I believe Neil Cavuto hosts one of the best and most relevant business segments on TV. So again, my opinion is that he is wrong to do so. That said, those who support him do so for his policies and actions for the nation as a whole. His behavior and personality leave much to be desired. However, those traits are not what we hired him for.

What a U.S. citizens’s opinion is in general, as it pertains to the United States, matters more to them than your opinion yes; whether that pertain to presidential matters or anything else. As to the question of does a U.K. Trump supporter’s opinion mean more than yours; of course not.

That's not what you said though is it.

You said the opinion of anyone whose views on Trump differ from mine, matter more.

You make valid points. Let me present another perspective for a moment if I may. Trump is older and had a background in international business for 40 or so years. Plenty of time to have gathered dirt on himself (and others). Obama is 20+ years younger and literally had no job to speak of before becoming a Senator. That would leave one’s background far less covered with “dirt” due to sheer lack of time and exposure. Again, that is simply another perspective one may want to at least consider.
Trump was just as big a tt 20 years ago. Being a tt isn’t like being a fine wine. You don’t become a bigger tt as you mature.

That was not my meaning. I was referring to US citizens when stating whose opinion mattered more. Glad we also covered this hugely relevant topic.

Well alrighty then. whistle
Probably was all of those nasty things you just said further back than 20 years to be more accurate. Again, that matters less to us than him doing what we feel is best for us policy-wise.

How’s he getting on with making Mexico pay for the Wall, or locking Hillary up?

I don’t know to be honest. Not really high on my concerns list. The wall is being built and Hillary is irrelevant. Is that your focus now?
I for one like to focus on the economy, unemployment, trade deals, and the stock market.

Not really. I knew it was bolleaux back in 2016 when his acolytes were chanting it. It appears I was right.

Given that the vast majority of illegal immigrants to the US arrive by airplane the Wall was a stupid idea in the first place but (as you keep implying) it’s not OUR tax dollars being pissed up the Wall.
