Good. So now we know that it’s not that his supporters don’t know what he does but that they think the rule of law is not important. Dismantling the checks and balances in the system, destroying trust in the government, attacking the judiciary and undermining the judicial process. Using the office to make money and build your business, protect your friends and destroy anyone who does not agree. All good as long as his core voters are happy. All because the other side care about minorities and think, maybe, that sexual assault might be a bad thing.

Ok. At least we know what we are dealing with now.
Man you sure have bought into a load of BS. hehe

Really? That’s your reply when I explain the impact? I can give you evidence of every single one of those things. There is noting BS about it. You can sit and sing “lalalaitsnotreal” if you want to ignore this, but it’s real. Unfortunately you and Trumps other supporters just reject any facts as false even when they are objectively verifiable. You go ahead and keep on denying it. All you are doing is showing the depths of your own disregard for others.
I don't believe all of that. I question your evidence.

I would like to go down the pub with

Sanders

Apart from Bloomberg.

And that is the problem for the Democrats, they've got an awful lot of awfully nice people who concentrate on morals when they are up against the US inbuilt greed based on that imaginary gold mine that everyone can discover. That people never do.

Donald has given them an illusion of that. It is like a the mirage when you are desperate for water. It's a mirage he has pocketed his whole POTUS existence on. And it helps his company he is not supposed to be thinking about at the moment as well ... err .. wink

He's going to make chopped meat out of Bernie.

Bernie is the most morally correct Democrat out there with the most vocal supporters. Sadly we need Bloomberg I feel. The Democrats should not be shy of putting morals to the background just to get rid of Trump.

Sometimes the results justify the means.

So, choose a Trump-like candidate because he has a "D" instead of an "R" in front of his name, thus compromising the just-mentioned principles?
That said, I believe that is just what the DNC will do. The DNC will confer with CNN, MSNBC, the NYT, and Washington Post to decide how to push Bloomberg to the front. Not sure if it will work but watch for them to try.

Yes, just like 2016 with the "GOP" candidate...

Really? That’s your reply when I explain the impact? I can give you evidence of every single one of those things. There is noting BS about it. You can sit and sing “lalalaitsnotreal” if you want to ignore this, but it’s real. Dismantling the checks and balances in the system:

https://thehill.com/opinion/white-house/484299-pre...

“On Feb. 19, Trump named Richard Grenell, the U.S. Ambassador to Germany, as acting director of national intelligence, replacing acting director Joseph Maguire. Grenell, an ardent Trump loyalist, has no experience in intelligence or administering a large bureaucracy. His appointment is the latest manifestation of Trump’s preference for appointing acting directors of agencies and cabinet secretaries because it gives him “more flexibility.” The approach, however, deprives department heads of complete and full authority. It also allows the president to bypass the U.S. Senate, which is authorized by the Constitution to vet the qualifications of nominees and give or withhold advice and consent.”

“On Feb. 13, the Trump administration informed Congress that is was diverting $3.8 billion from the Pentagon’s budget for the purchase of aircraft and other equipment to construct barriers on the southern border, bringing the total taken from the Defense Department for the wall this year to $7.2 billion. Citing an anti-narcotics law and a statute allowing the Pentagon — in the event of a national emergency requiring the deployment of troops — to use construction funds to pay for infrastructure for these forces, the White House made this decision without approval from Congress, which has several times refused to appropriate money for this purpose. The courts have approved these maneuvers, but, along with the administration’s imposition of tariffs, they constitute yet another step in the evisceration of Congress’s power over the purse.”

https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2020/02/...

“ The problem with this solution is laid out in the Government Accountability Office’s legal analysis of Trump’s withholding of $391 million in Senate-approved aid to Ukraine. The move violated the Impoundment Control Act, the GAO insisted. Congress had appropriated the aid, and the president had no authority to ignore that decision—at least without simultaneously alerting Congress to his plan, as the statute requires. With an impending acquittal, the Senate is saying to Trump and all future presidents that they can ignore Congress’s appropriations decisions without consequence. Trump can withhold or spend money as he likes—even if Congress has already said otherwise.”

So he has to tell me about it, but we expect to be cutting a lot from Dodd-Frank because, frankly, I have so many people, friends of mine, that have nice businesses, they can’t borrow money,” Trump said Friday morning, shortly before signing the executive orders. “They just can’t get any money because the banks just won’t let them borrow because of the rules and regulations in Dodd-Frank.””

Now, I’m sure you will find reasons to ignore those or make attacks on the sources rather than the facts, but remember this, Trump is not just doing these things, he is making them acceptable. The next president may not be from your side. They might be much more left leaning and use this behaviour against you.

Remember a UK gallon is about 1.2 times the size of a US one though, so you can't compare prices directly.

And I'm not sure about that $2.20 figure anyway - it was around $2.60 in Atlanta last November and this site suggests it's not been below that level in most of the US for quite some time.

https://www.globalpetrolprices.com/USA/gasoline_pr...

How about an official US government source which disproves the $2.20 figure? https://www.eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/
It was around that when I was in Tampa recently. There's a local station tells you where to get cheapest fuel $2.25 currently
https://www.baynews9.com/fl/tampa/gas-prices

I guess like here it depends which station you go to, where it is in the country...
Jimbeaux claimed nationwide average is around $2.20, yet the Tampa price is about the lowest in the country. Takes some strange maths for the average to be less than that smile
The Tampa price is by no means the lowest in the country. Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Texas IIRC are lower. Changes weekly though.
Oh the days when I paid under a $ for my gas guzzling Rangey are long gone.........(as is the RR)

This is exactly what I was getting at when I said to Jim that I don’t think it is in anyone’s interests to have a pathological liar as POTUS. He’s been saying Coronavirus is 'completely under control’ and that the stock market is ‘looking very good’. Both colossal lies. The idea that this toddler is in any position of influence during an actual adult crisis is alarming.

No, I cannot read all of the links containing copious amount of pages from everyone on here that post them. I am nearly the lone counterview. You ask me to respond then accuse me of being too prolific a poster. It's tedious. Frankly this hate thread is tedious. so no, no response.

You claim often that this thread is made up of 3 regular posters, you admit you are 'nearly' the lone counter view (so there are at least 2 of you, more really).

I'd say that is pretty balanced.
