In order to offer balance as well as in the spirit of genuineness, It should also be pointed out that 9 of the largest Dow Jones gains in history were also under Trump.

Before the the Corona attack on the markets worldwide, the Dow Jones exceeded 29,300. It has never been that high in history.
I’ve stepped away from this thread but will drop by on an infrequent basis to give them someone to shoot at.

Don't the markets just sort of go up overall generally anyway? Surely in several years time, they will higher, almost certainly, whoever is president?
The problem trump is going to encounter is that he has repeatedly taken credit for anything what he thinks can make him look good, notably (but by no means only) market gains. By doing that, however, he must also hold himself accountable for downturns, but he won't, of course. Anything that he thinks makes him look good is down to him, everything that looks bad is due to Obama/Hillary/Dems/anyone but him.
There haven’t been any prior presidents that repeatedly crowed about their immense brilliance and greatness on Twitter and elsewhere so this is new ground.
He’s a bit like the politics version of Muhammad Ali. Thing is, Ali was genuinely great. Big difference.

Trump's admin may have made the Coronaviris outbreak worse!

Complete failure to deal with potential infection properly, and a risk of spreading, plus trying to shut down the whistleblower,a real expert in her field,as opposed to Mike "pray the gay away"Pence
But as long as Trump's HHS cronies cover it up,who cares about a pandemic

Stock markets are nothing more than glorified casinos. The only real difference is that the 'odds' ie the stock prices are controlled by those who play there rather than by the management of the casino. Govts/Presidents might sometimes provide the excuses or catalysts for the volatility that generates income for these vipers, but the notion that stock market indices are anything to do with a nation's underlying economic status is totally out of date now.

Even so - historical trump tweets blaming previous POTUS's are fun to compare to his repeated lucklustre performance.
Why is this surprising when trump has drastically cut the budget to pay for his wall, tax cuts for the rich?
In the letter to the Government Accountability Office, a nonpartisan watchdog, Democratic Reps. Neal and Gomez expressed concerns that "management decisions at H.H.S. could have contributed to the spread of the virus within the United States."
Reps. Neal and Gomez have formally requested a briefing from Alex Azar, saying that they were "deeply troubled that H.H.S. seems to have ignored valid public health concerns" as well as reports that the agency had retaliated against the whistleblower.
"The whistleblower is seeking federal protection because she alleges she was unfairly and improperly reassigned after raising concerns about the safety of these workers to HHS officials, including those within the office of Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar."
Federal health employees interacted with Americans quarantined for possible exposure to the coronavirus without proper medical training or protective gear, then scattered into the general population, according to a government whistle-blower who lawmakers say faced retaliation for reporting concerns.
The team was “improperly deployed” to two military bases in California to assist the processing of Americans who had been evacuated from coronavirus hot zones in China and elsewhere, according to a portion of a narrative account shared with Congress and obtained by The New York Times ahead of a formal complaint to the Office of the Special Counsel, an independent government agency that handles federal whistle-blower complaints.
Without proper training or equipment, some of the exposed staff members moved freely around and off the bases, with at least one person staying in a nearby hotel and leaving California on a commercial flight. Many were unaware of the need to test their temperatures three times a day.

USAO DC alumni have written to acting US Attorney Timothy Shea listing all of the political interference by trump and Barr into
Recent events in the last few weeks, which continue unabated as this letter is written, have created
significant alarm and concern that the Office’s independence, devoid of political influence, is in
grave and imminent peril.
They then go on to provide a comprehensive list
In light of these alarming events, it is hard not to conclude that the President and AG Barr are
completely disregarding and, indeed undermining, the fine work and efforts of prosecutors in our
Office, impugning their integrity, authority and autonomy.
The President has publicly vilified as his “enemies” those who continue to be investigated by your
Office. This has fueled additional speculation that those others who have found themselves in the
sights of the President’s opprobrium and are currently under investigation (other than the now exonerated Andrew McCabe) may not be treated by the Office fairly and “without fear or favor.”
It finishes with
In light of recent events, we strongly urge you, by your words and actions, to affirm and
demonstrate that you will live by the bedrock principles of the American system of justice: “no
one is above the law” and that “Justice is blind,” thereby restoring the Office to its former stature
and esteem.
