I've just watched sections of last night's rally and even for Trump it's completely unhinged. He spent ages rambling on about the media's portrayal of his performance at West Point, and the less said about his testing comments the better. You have to keep reminding yourself that he is actually the President of the USA.

I understood the reasons why Trump won in 2016, but after last night's performance I'm convinced he will lose in November (thankfully). His tired old performance doesn't work like it used to, and all he can do is play to his base and that isn't enough to win. Whenever I've been in the States I'm always struck by the visceral hatred towards Hillary Clinton by otherwise reasonable people; Biden doesn't seem to polarise people in the same way, which I think will decisive in the final result. America is facing real challenges ahead, and I hope that most soft Trump voters from 2016 will come to the conclusion that another four years of a narcissist imbecile is not a good option.

You're nuts.

I especially like the last sentence.

I've always wondered if stupid know they're stupid and deep down I knew the answer, but it's funny when it gets confirmed. rofl

He showed that pretty well when he was Vice President.

Do you think there's enough time for Trump to come out and show that he could have been presidential material as well?
When Biden was Vice president he was up to all sorts of no good, including illegally spying on Trump
If there's any truth to that then Biden's clearly a lot smarter than I gave him credit for. He must have realised (well before anybody else) what a corrupt President Trump was going to become and effectively sell out the US to both the Russians and the Chinese. Follow the money.....

Amazing how the trumpettes appear again to throw deflection as trump has a bad day.

Only 6613 people at his rally, losing influence, not the successfully optic he wanted, in fact he complete opposite

I guess the trumpettes will be really busy trying their best over the next few months

He's doing scripted interviews from his basement and hasn't held a press conference for nearly 3 months, you can't blame Covid either as technology could be used

Quite a good podcast and broadcasts by Biden actually. And does he need to do more? His tactics are working - he's what 12 points ahead as trump throws it away himself.

I mean - trump couldn't even 1/3rd fill a tiny venue... Your distraction skills are poor

Trump is "furious" at the "underwhelming" crowd at his rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Saturday evening, a major disappointment for what was expected to be a raucous return to the campaign trail after a three-month hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, according to multiple people close to the White House.

The president was fuming at his top political aides on Saturday even before the rally began, after his campaign revealed that six members of the advance team on the ground in Tulsa had tested positive for COVID-19, including Secret Service personnel, a person familiar with the discussions said.

Trump asked those around him why that information was exposed and expressed annoyance that the coverage ahead of his mega-rally was dominated by that revelation.

While the Trump re-election effort boasted it would fill the BOK Center that seats more than 19,000 people, only 6,200 supporters ultimately filled the general admission sections of the enclosed arena, the Tulsa fire marshal told NBC News.

Even fox news attacked trumps campaign spokeperson
"You guys were so far off that you had planned an outdoor rally, and there wasn't an overflow crowd ... the fact is, people didn't show up" -- Chris Wallace grills Trump campaign spokesperson Mercedes Schlapp on Trump's underwhelming Tulsa crowd

"Mercedes, please don't filibuster. We're showing pictures here and it shows big, empty areas. Frankly, it makes you guys look silly when you deny the reality of what happened."

Worth watching this clip. When Wallace says, “There were no protesters preventing people from entering the rally,” Mercedes’ facial expression completely deflates because she knows he’s not going to accept her BS. Great interview, this is how it should be done all the time.

Edit: Remember Brad Parscale claimed they had 1 million ticket requests vetted by the campaign, and then blamed protests (which there weren't) that somehow kept 993,800 people from entering the event.

Something I've noticed lately. When trump tells an anecdote which is a lie, it always has someone in it calling him sir, usually trump will say something like "the man said to me Sir, you are completely right". It was repeated many times last night as well. Another of his Tells spotted

Not a peep on Twitter from Trump today other than a generic Father’s Day message. Not what you would have encountered if he had enjoyed a raucous sell-out rally last night.

He’s hurting alright.

Made a start on the Bolton book, I sense a not very pleasant person. Reminds me a bit of Al Fayed v Neil Hamilton years ago, you didn’t want there to be a winner...

You’d have to agree though, and I’m sure you frequent other forums, that there is nothing quite so sad as a member of a forum being banned and returning in a different guise.
I get a tinge of sadness for their sorry lives every time.

Absolute ageist claptrap.
Nonsense it’s not about age it’s about health and the two are closely linked. Being a president is a seriously tough job. Just look at how much Blair and Obama aged during their tenures. The presidency requires long hours, little sleep and mental and physical fitness. Age on its own shouldn’t automatically preclude someone but in the context of the US election it was between 3 geriatrics one of whom clearly has dementia, one has a history of aneurisms and the other has had a heart attack. Those are not things that should be taken lightly.
