Planning a flight out of heathrow in mid Oct for a 2 week holiday. We also wish to stay 2 nights in London b4 we go.
Trains at the moment are over 60 quid each, 1 way, so we might take the car drive option, up n back. Are you aware of any Heathrow area hotels that over parking for a car whilst away?

Pretty much any and all of the Heathrow hotels will offer parking, at a reduced(ish) rate if you stay beforehand. Choose one with a shuttle bus from your terminal rather than messing with taxis. They aren't hugely secure though, but that said, neither are the general car parks

Crowne plaza Heathrow, "Park, Stay and Go" is their phrase for it. 4 days seems to add a pound a day to the night you stay.

Hilton t4 did a nights accommodation and 8 days parking for £160 last week. Undercover walkway from the hotel into t4. Nice cocktails in bar, free upgrade to nicer room. Would recommend!

The Hilton t5 is cheaper generally, but then you need to take the free shuttle bus to the terminals.

Just Google Heathrow hotels with parking, and up pops ten or more.

I did the Crowne Plaza over Christmas. One night's stay (five people, two rooms), parking for 14 nights and shuttle returns to the airport was under £200. Hotel was pretty nice too, and there is a very reasonable pub about 15 mins walk away for dinner if you don't want to pay hotel prices for food.

Sounds OK, BUT we wish to stay 2 nights at the hotel and then park for another 14. Virtually all websites just let you stay one night, grrrrrrrrrrr.

Last time I went to Heathrow I actually went on the coach, I booked so far in advance it costs us £5 each, and it was actually very enjoyable. About 3 hours to South Wales so a hour longer than the train but worth it

We did the same, coach into central to stay a night then train to Heathrow and coach back

Is it possible to do 2 separate bookings, one night with overnight parking and the second night with 14 days parking ?

feck knows BUT I am having a rethink. Its going to cost around 75 pounds in petrol and another 90 in a carpark. Thats over 160 quid. I can get a return coach from Plymouth for less that 100, return for both of us. Trains of course are ste as you can only book 10 weeks ahead. Hotels want stupid prices for 2 weeks and I am restricted to what hotels offer a park n fly option, whereas I can pick any hotel as the coach stops not only at T2/3 but Earls court, (g'day Bruce) ending at Viccy station.

Time for a rethink. Many thnx to all.

ps, edit. Although I cant book as far as October for coaches, in june its 24 pounds return for 2! Direct.

When I've done stuff like this before, I've booked a stay & park package from Holiday Extras. Having a quick look for Heathrow in October, it's showing various Holiday Inns & Thistles with parking for £108-£125, even the Sheraton is showing £144. Obviously some of these packages come with parking from another provider rather than the hotel, so check out the parking provider's reviews before booking. EDIT - just saw your comment about wanting to stay 2 nights. Their mobile app doesn't let you do that. Could try phoning them?

Radisson Blu, used it loads of times and no issues. Plenty of spaces, you keep the keys and regular shuttles.

8 days parking so no good, also 120 for bed and breakfast. No way.

Just wit and book 10 days ahead on the train.

Should be able to get a good deal if you book as early as possible.

What's the time difference between coach and train?

The fast train from Liskeard to Paddington is 3 1/2, to 4 hrs. Coach 6 1/2 hrs. Train is of course preferable BUT, a coach with Nat Express, in a months time, is 12 pounds each..........return!

Try thrifty car hire and one way rentals, europcar also do some from £1 but it’s very limited to where it needs to be collected from and returned too.
