Recently worked an IT contract for Yorkshire Tea. Bloody brilliant place to work and free lunches, free parking and as much tea and coffee as you could ever want! Fantastic.
Surprised they serve coffee tbh.soxboy said:

Before this reply was a rambling thread by Sue who seemed to blame the government for anything and everything and felt that the picture meant the endorsement of all the world's ills by Yorkshire Tea.
"Sue, you're shouting at tea." Genius.

I'm working on a project with the B&T IT team at the moment - great people and every site visit sees me emptying my wallet at the staff shop. Last visit I came home with three boxes of tea (Yorkshire Gold is something silly like £1.25 or £1.50 a box!), bread and teacakes We also demolished some of the fondant fancies in the new staff canteen.Cold said:

I must admit I do admire the Yorkshire Tea response to this. Politics is not a thing to become embroiled in, as a commercial outfit, because of the emotion, often irrational, behind it. I like how they've taken no sides and tried to extricate themselves from the situation with some great humour and wit. "Sue, you're shouting at tea." Genius.

Yorkshire Tea have gone up in my estimation with their response here. Clearly they haven't got the woke memo and are still responding using good old fashioned common sense.Click twice and it will go big enough to read

I can imagine that being at the helm of a business ttter account that is thus targeted by nutters, it could be quite intimidating and challenging. one of those situations where it's tricky to keep your fight and flight monkeys in their boxes.Full marks to the person(s) in control of Yorkshire Tea's account. Handled beautifully and not without a little humour either.
