Yep smile

Now you're gonna tell me that I was there on the one day of the year that the place wasn't like a war zone, aren't you? hehe
Nope, my experience is exactly the same as yours.
A lovely place......I’m surprised they let me in smile

Another photo posted on our local FB of the Spoons in town at around 4pm ... still completely dead.

Perhaps the local Spoons alcoholics have got so used to drinking at home that they're keeping it going.

I’m not going to the pub this weekend, but the newspapers (especially the ones who’ve come up with this stupid “super Saturday” ste) are really pissing me off.
They’ve clearly got their headlines and articles about drunken chaos and lack of social distancing already prepped, and they’re just out looking for the photos to go with it now.

Those photos are crap - low angle, look like they’ve been taken from 20m back on a 300mm lens to flatten out the scene. Totally misleading. I hope it all passes off well without them having the chance to print their crap with any justification. wkers.

I would agree that the media love the sensationalised “everyone’s lost their minds” stories however my brother has said a brewery local to them (East London) is absolutely heaving with lots of people very drunk by 5pm. Our local village pub looked very sensible when we drove past earlier though.

Itll be interedting if a pub is full inside and out, and then it starts pissing it down. Do they have to tell everyone outside to go home?

I can't think of many worse things than being surrounded by those people. Did they loot TK Maxx and cut each-others hair just before this photo?

Walked into the Red Lion this afternoon, straight into a packed beer garden. Staff looked like they belonged in an ICU ward. Expected to have one or two but we got chatting to a couple of chaps on our table and stayed for a few hours. Good laugh and glad the pubs are back again. beer
