Frustrating, I have not seen my girlfriend for 7 weeks, am I allowed to?
No but the guidance is vague saying limit contact to others so it’s your choice really.

My girlfriend is furloughed so I will. If she was a nurse or care home worker I probably would not nor would she.

Fines going up?
By how much?
Someone said earlier £3000 , not sure it’s true. We will find out tomorrow when he realises the document outlining it all.

Interested to know what would happen if you said to a police officer the guidance says limit the contact with others so yes my girlfriend is here who I haven’t seen in two months.

We are limiting contact to each other and nobody else. How is that enforceable I have no idea.

Whether it’s right or wrong is a different question but I can’t see a fine being enforced for that

So can I have my daughter now?

Why are garden centres opening in Kent?

So barbers will be opening tomorrow?
Re your daughter yes I think. Are you separated or divorced as moving children between households of parents who aren’t together has been ok from the start.

Just left the beach at Bournemouth and it was great. No problems, everyone got it and was sensible.

I live here so no long trip and only came at 4pm.

Nice to do something normal!!

There must have been a fair backlash as it appears to have been deleted laugh

What I don't understand is why currently, under lockdown rules, you are allowed to travel to an open public space to meet someone from another household, but you cannot meet that same person outside in their garden.

One of those options involves two people driving (twice the number of cars on the road, two extra people out in public space, whereas the other option which is banned, involves one person driving and the "meeting" being on private land, away from other members of public. I don't understand why the more private, less public option is illegal yet the riskier more exposed option is legal...?!?!
Main reason is it’s a slippery slope. Sit in the garden. Have a beer, need the toilet and go in the house and then it’s easier to spread from contaminated surfaces etc. That was the reason given but it’s ridiculous.

Common sense now prevails so most are using that and doing what they like

Does Boris still have to update us before Sunday or was his shops announcement a few days ago enough to carry on for 3 weeks more?

I know Durdle Door has been mentioned on the previous page, but from stuff I've seen on social media and witnessed myself, the easing of the lockdown combined with the excellent weather has brought utter madness to the south coast/Dorset - some real disgusting behaviour: the litter, the vandalism, the ridiculous illegal parking to dump cars as close to the beach as possible. People were treating it like a party, but the rain today should hopefully cool things off.
I would think the other problem is what happens now to Boris’s plan now it’s raining. You can’t meet in people’s gardens so I think a lot of people will just go in peoples houses instead.

People won’t stop seeing each other because it’s raining. They won’t stay at home now so I think it will move indoors so to speak.

Well it feels like the inevitable is starting again. Just wonder how far the govt will take it this winter.

Not sure they can nationally lockdown again ?

It really is a st storm. My daughters school has just sent home year 11 for 2 weeks based off one case.
All come back after half term please when if another one of you gets it we will send you all home again. They will be lucky to be back a week before being off again.

This isn’t a long term strategy, it’s a mess.
