If you look at the 2m distance recommendation, have you ever noticed how far a vapers exhaled breath spreads?

In France, according to BBC, you need to fill in a form to go outside explaining your reasons, even to walk your dog. I wonder if there are some creative entries in the pet name box?

Quite optimistic to think our path will be very different.
My boss lives in France and he had to do this. Very strict but he seems the importance.

Lucky the weather has been good and he can work on his garden and house renovation, but you would struggle if you lived in an apartment.
Our friends in the South of France emailed and said that they now need a ‘permit’ to be able to leave the home.

The government is a shambles too wishy washy, too weak, no security. My mum is 70 still asked to work if she didn't she wouldn't be paid.

Boris is looking after big companies, his mates and the rest, well if your old or poor them sorry you are either dead or bankrupt.

Not enough testing, no enough ventilators, not enough beds, no enough planning. A first world country happy to tax taxes but when you want help, fk you.
Come on then Jeremy, what is your plan?

Yes, and how I can smell the vape from inside my car with windows closed.

I am convinced that this fker is way more airborne than they are letting on or know.

Viruses spread on water droplets (think cough, sneeze) not as a gas so don't spread as far as breath.

TBH something has to be done to protect people from themselves.

It would be interesting to know how many of the vast majority of people who would have been at the pub this weekend but as they were closed decided to meet their friends at someones house instead for a drinking session...several on my street it seems and it will only get worst as the weather gets better.

Forms, letters, permits? Hard copies or on your phone? If the former, where will they come from?

Could be interesting, what if you need a form but don't have a printer?

Boggles my mind that these idiots don't look at Italy's death toll numbers. We are pretty much matching them if you take into account how we are two weeks behind.

Just proves how many selfish and arrogant people we have in this country.
We are not the same as Italy though....(not saying you are wrong. Italy defo had the cards stacked against them though!)

It appears to be prioritising financial assistance for those with a mortgage free home and pension income? smile

I live in a small village in Wiltshire that has benefits of less commuting and more space than some other areas. Yesterday the play parks were full, an atmosphere like a public holiday rolleyes

I'm a libertarian at heart but feel a formal and rigorously enforced lock down is needed in the UK ASAP as people are not really getting the message. I work for a company that has employees all over Europe and my Italian and Spanish colleagues are sending messages begging us to isolate ourselves as much as possible now.

Exactly. I don't usually watch ITV but Morgan was just being stupid. Couldn't believe that Hancock was not really allowed to answer the questions raised.
Morgan has a very obvious 'agenda' for Boris and anyone associated with his govt since his demand for interview was 'rejected' during the election campaign. It's quite clear what the issue is here - it has nothing to do with 'holding to account', it's purely personal and all about Morgan acting like a fking spoilt child.
I would agree with this 100%.. He is very active on twitter and almost every single post is calling out Boris Johnson and calling him to task on things that are clearly outside of his control.. I'm actually very surprised that there hasn't been some way to actually get him off his pedestal, as he's actually creating more panic..

there was an interesting tweet from him yesterday asking why "Boris" wasn't doing something about people going out shopping and crowding around the tills, saying that it was irresponsible.. The first response was a copy of his tweet from a week or so earlier, advising people that it "was a good idea to go and but 14 days worth of food"

He's a complete hypocrite who cares only about himself and how he thinks it will make him look after this is all over..

Yes I do think it's needed now. What's annoying me is the fact that don't people want this to be over with sooner rather than later!? If we all did the right thing we'd have this thing done with in a few weeks hopefully, but no, lets all go to the bloody seaside. tts.
Come on then, explain how self isolating and potentially a lock down will make this be done in a few weeks?
Absolutely no idea what flattening the curve means.

I'm astonished that the p**ck even has a job after the couple of scandals he's been involved with. I don't know why anyone would want to listen to his brand of "journalism". Bloke has always had an agenda and seems to be a petty little ahole to boot.
Controversial sells.............simple as.
It is about time someone let him finish one of his little rants and then say "If you will now shut up for thirty seconds I will answer your question, but if you continue to interrupt me like some 1st year who can't hold a question that has just occurred to them for 10 seconds without blurting it out i will do nothing more but recant the highlights of your questionable previous actions for the remainder of the interview you odious little pipsqueak."

The beeb are correct, there are several categories, going out for work which can't be done from home, to buy necessary good from the shops allowed to remain open, for health reasons, for imperative family reasons - to assist vulnerable people or babysitting, for brief personal trips close to your home for individual physical activities but not collective sports and also for exercise / feeding of animals.

I printed off my form this morning, went to the local market 5km away, got my roast chicken and sausages, visited the chemist, then on to the small supermarket where we waited to be admitted individually whilst passing the time chatting in the sunshine before going in to buy everything I wanted, cheese, eggs, meat, wine, more wine and if I'd wanted toilet roll or sanitiser, they were there to buy.

If the UK goes into this kind of restriction, I wouldn't want to be there at the mo as I think it will melt down.
